MrsPJM3, I love that symbolism, especially since I also have two children. I like the idea that my ring could symbolize not just our marriage as a couple, but our new family as well.

A couple of you mentioned Zales, and we looked there, and they were really nice. However the ring I liked best there was $999, so I think we'll probably end up going with Kay since the one I most liked there was $300 less...and they're both beautiful rings. My BF also got my friend's number (she used to work in a jewelry store) to go with him for the final selection.

The ring enhancers are probably difficult to get in my size from what I was told. The curved bands seem like a possibility when the time comes to pick out the wedding rings, though. Also, I agree with those of you who mentioned that the salewoman at that one store was probably just trying to push us into a more expensive ring...which was a bad move, since it just means we're going to choose a different store that we feel more comfortable with.
