There are several threads that I remember popping up with the same idea - which I think is great.

Here's one with some ideas-

You might have to copy and paste this into your browser.  Sometimes my links work and sometimes they don't.

I also remember another thread and kelleyiskelley posted to it with ideas.  But I can't find it.

That said, if you do not get any other responses, bump the thread back into Recent Threads after the weekend and holiday.  Thereis less traffic on the weekends.

Also, are you looking for a more upbeat or slow song?

I am really close to my mother and I am doing a mother/daughter dance and a father/daughter dance, but my mom has been there for me more than my father so I wanted to make sure that she was honored at my wedding in June. I have spent the entire day searching for songs that I am going to put on a cd so my mom can listen and pick her fave. Most of the songs that I picked are not upbeat kind of songs.... more emotional I would say, but if you want a song that may pull at some heart strings here is a list that I compiled:

Always Be Your Baby... Natalie Grant
As Time Goes By... Frank Sinatra
The Baby... Blake Shelton
Baby Mine... Allison Krauss
Beautiful Child... Fleetwood Mac
Because You Loved Me... Celine Dion
Can You Feel the Love Tonight... Elton John
Coat of Many Colors... Dolly Parton
Find Your Wings... Mark Harris
Forever Young... Rod Stewart
God Must Have Spent a Little More Time On You... N'Sync
God Only Knows... Beach Boys
Good Mother... Jan Arden
Hero... Mariah Carey
I'll Always Love My Mama... The Intruders
I'll Be... Reba McIntire
I'll Be Watching You... Sting
I'll Remember... Madonna
I Am Your Child... Barry Manilow
I Turn To You... Christina Aguilera
I Will Be There for You... Jessica Andrews
In My Daughter's Eyes... Martina McBride
In The Air Tonight... Phil Collins
Kind and Generous... Natalie Merchant
Let Them Be Little... Lonestar
The Love I Found In You... Jim Brickman
Lullabye... Billy Joel
A Mother's Prayer... Celine Dion
My Angel Mother... Loretta Lynn
My One True Friend... Bette Midler
My Wish... Rascal Flatts
Oh How The Years Go By... Amy Grant
Parent's Prayer... Steve Curtis Chapman
The Perfect Fan... Backstreet Boys
Please Remember... LeAnn Rimes
Somewhere Over the Rainbow... Israel K.
Stand By Me... John Lennon
Three Times A Lady... Lionel Ritchie
Through the Years... Kenny Rogers
Wonderful Tonight... Eric Clapton
You'll Be Blessed... Elton John
You're My Inspiration... Chicago
You Are So Beautiful to Me... Joe Cocker
Younger Than Today... Ben Harper

I originally had over 200 different songs, but I narrowed it down to these and after a few more cuts my mom will have to go through the rest. I think that honoring one's own mother this way makes them feel really special... they don't get a big role in the wedding even though they are truly the backbone of the entire event. I love my mom and I hope that she has a wonderful time at my wedding. I hope this helps every one who is looking to do the same!
