December in Europe is BEAUTIFUL! They have all these fun Christmas Markets, that are incredible to see. And the way everything is decorated is gorgeous. It's chilly, but worth it in my opinion. If not Dec. I would go in the spring. Also beautiful. Northern Italy, particularly is gorgeous in the spring.

And I agree with the pp who suggested a travel agent. They have deals available that are not available to the public.
