This is my second wedding so I do not want to have the traditional wedding cake. I am considering either having cupcakes or individual table cakes on cake platters as the centerpieces. If individual cakes, each table would have a different flavor and that is what I would use as table names. Any thoughts as to which way to go?
I'm doing cupcakes at my wedding - there will be no cutting fee and we'll be able to store them better if there are lots left over. Plus, I want to do them myself, and this way I can make them a week ahead of time, freeze them, pull them the day before and ice them. You're individual cake idea sounds so good, though! It's unique and interactive for the guests. Plus, they'll make awesome centerpieces. If they're different flavours, it might get people moving from table to table to try different kinds and get them talking with people they wouldn't have otherwise. All round it's a great idea!
i love the individual cake idea. someone did that on bridezillas, did anyone see that episode? she ended up dropping one.. not good! but anyway, i like the cupcake idea, but the cake center piece idea is more unique.
