Apple Vacation or funjet?

My FH and I are planning on going to Riviera Maya Mexico. I have looked into both Apple Vacation and funjet specifically El Dorado hotels or Iberostar. We would like to go snorkling, swim wiht dolphins, and see the ruins. Has anyone taken a trip via apple or funjet? How do they compare and does one cost less than the other?
