I'm having a small (50 ppl max) destination wedding and only 2 people in our wedding party.   Is a program really necessary? For weddings that you have attended did you find it useful?

Wedding programs aren't a required piece of stationary.  They are useful to your guests to let them know what is coming up in the ceremony.  They are especially useful for religious or ethnic ceremonies when some of your guests might not know exactly what to expect.

You can do something increbily simply like a one page program giving a brief outline of the ceremony and introducing your two attendants.  Just print it on really nice quality paper and it will look great.

Half the people didn't even pick up ours....I wouldn't say they are necessary
