I'm having an emotional affair with another dress.

I've made the commitment to a dress. At the time it seemed like the one. Allure 8308, I won't post a picture because a) the pics don't do it justice, and b) I can't figure out how to post pics. I made the decision on the spot because it was so perfect.

But now I can't stop thinking about another dress. It was in a diff store. A consignment dress- drop waist, box pleated ball gown. I even dreamed about it last night.

I need to have 5 weddings- it's cruel to have to decide on only one dress.

I have no doubts about the groom!

LOL  Thanks for the pick me up.

Is changing your dress an option?  I'm glad you're set on the guy. ;-)

Hi Laura,

I know what you mean. I bought my dress and havign seconds thoughts about it.  Well I'm stuck with it now and very dissapointed but I'll make the best of it.  I have a simple dress but then started thinking about having a ballgown style.  Big and pouffy.  I had to get myself from looking at other dresses because it was driving me nuts.  May I suggest you do the same if you don't plan on switching.

Good luck

Until I marry my Rockstar!

lmao!

Ur post was sooo funny and if i wasnt in  class i would probably laugh out loud. Anyway Ive seen the allure gown that you have and it is absolutely gorgeous. Is the one in the consignment shop very expensive? If not you should wear one dress to the ceremony and the other to the reception!

I thought about the two dress thing. But while the other dress isn't that expensive by wedding dress standards the money can be better used elsewhere. I'll say no to wedding dress polygamy.

I really do love the dress I bought. It's not a matter of wanting the other one more but that I want it as much. Once it comes in and I see it fitted to my body, I'm sure I'll have no doubts that I made the right choice and will be faithful to my dress.

PS. Glad I could provide some laughs. Wedding planning should be fun and not taken too seriously (not easy when you think about the amounts of money involved).

I almost spit out my milk.  LOL  I can definitely understand wanting to put the money to something else, and as you said - once your dress comes in you will feel perfect!

Wedding planning should be fun, unfortunately, it's ceased to be for me.  I wish it still was - so thanks for the laugh.

Hi girls!  What a GREAT post!!!  I am in the exact same boat with having purchased my dress and now...well...regretting it and wishing I had gone with another-which happened to be much cheaper too.  I can't stop thinking about the other dress Cry  Hey Pharmtoxgirl-planning has ceased to be enjoyable for me too!!!  It was so fun in the beginning and now I'm just plain miserable...I feel your pain!!  Frown

Haha. I'm not quite as bad as you - I'm not cheating on my dress, I just have a bit of a crush on another one. :-) I'm sure it will pass, as crushes tend to do. Then I'll wonder what I was thinking!

Lol, thank you for posting this, it made me laugh!

I've definitely flirted with another dress or two since I got 'the one'. In the end though, I'm happy with the one I've got. Smile

I am loving the title of this thread. Can you maybe sell the other one and get this one? Two dress bride? Glad you are happy with the guy! That is the most important part.

Actually, I have all the concerns about my dress that I should have about my groom. Is it really "the one"? Is this the dress I willing to commit to for the rest of my life? Sadness that I'll never get that "first time" giddiness from trying on wedding dress again.

I'm going to visit my dress this weekend at the shoppe. I think that will revive those old feelings of love.
