Best time to buy wedding bands to get best deal?

My wedding isn't until Aug 2008, but I've started the planning.  Because we have so much time before the wedding, when is the best time to buy so we can get the lowest price?  Everyone keeps telling me it's around christmas but is their another time?

I'd say the end of the month bc some stores are trying to meet their quotas for the month.  Many times, if you purchase both rings at the same store you can get a better discount.

I would say to pick out your wedding rings and buy your rings at least 6 months before, so you do not forget...so it fits properly, any it is exactly what you want.

To get cheaper prices I suggest going through a direct jeweler not a store, they have extremely high mark up.  I went through www.gemstoneservices.net and they were great.  They undercut the stores in the area by $100 on my band alone

Christmas and Valentines Day usually gets sales on bridal jewelry, or at least that is what we were told. Usually mens bands don't go on sale. But it is going to vary from store to store. I would check back when ever you can and you could also ask them. Your best bet is to check back every so often and see what you get.  Don't wait too long to get your rings.  We waited until 2 months before our wedding. That was cutting it very close.
