Amazing! I didn't realize there were so many weddings on 7-7-7. Our original wedding date was set for Aug. 06, but I underwent surgery and had medical issues, so we decided on 7-7-7 and thought it would be fun to have a casino theme, my fiance suggested doing one better and having it at a casino....so we're actually getting married at Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Connecticut. We'll even be giving out chocolate poker chips as favors and plan on having a casino themed cake with a King and Queen of Hearts as cake toppers. Our guests are very excited about it, and plan on spending a lot of time in the casinos before and after the wedding. We even gave out Foxwoods gift cards as Christmas gifts. It'll be a blast!

We decided on this date for many reasons 7 is both of our lucky number it was the day i was born my daughter birthday and many other ties to both of us. this is our first wedding and we are getting married in s lake tahoe and we are having a small intimate wedding with approximatley 50 or so of our closest friends and family. However even though this is a lucky # for us it already has not been so lucky as my mother was just diag with term cancer and we are not sure she will be here for our big date and she lives out of state and will not be able to travel, so this has thrown and big twist on our planning, we have decided on having two weddings one with her and my father in New Mexico next Weekend the 17th yes its a seven to and then as planned in July.

We are getting married 7/7/07 also because it is close to the 4th of July. I know 3 other couples getting married that same date! One of our signature cocktails is going to be a 7 & 7 which happens to be my fiance's favorite drink! I also know 2 couples already planning for 8/8/08...
I am not having my reception backyard style, but let me tell you... I wish I could! Reception sites can be pretty costly. And at this point, it's probably going to be pretty hard to find something you like (since the date is so popular!). I think having a backyard reception is perfect. You can invite as many people as you want, it can be as formal or as informal as you want, and it can be a LOT less expensive! You may even want to consider having it at night, with lots of lights and candles (and it should also be a little cooler in the evening). Just a thought. But I wouldn't fret if I were you. You can have a lot more control and be more creative if it's in the backyard. And no matter how large or small it is, it will probably be more fun, less "stuffy" and may even feel more intimate than a reception site. I say GO FOR IT!!!

I am an 07.07.07 bride!
My fiance and I were planning possible dates back in 2005, and I said, "Hey, what about 06.06.06?" He was like 'Are you serious?? NO WAY!' He then suggested the 07.07.07 date, and we both just wrote it off as null and void. The subject was dropped because I figured it would be a weekday, and I always wanted a Saturday evening wedding. Much to my surprise, I looked in my cell phone's calendar for 2007, and sure enough-- it was a SATURDAY!!
I will be a 07/07/07 bride too but it had nothing to do with all the 7's. FH and I wanted a summer wedding and also to try and incoperate his grandmother ( who is in a home and can't make it ) into our wedding. Her birthday happens to be July 7 so that was the date we picked.

I am getting married on 07/07/07, but picking that date has nothing at all to do with luck. When Brandon proposed, our first 'date' discussion was to be on the 22nd of whatever month (we got together on 01/22/01). and easy for my FH to remember our anniversary. However, the 22nd day of the months coming up were not on a Saturday, so I got to looking and saw that July 7, 2007, was on a Saturday, and in the Bible it says that 7 is the perfect number, and I knew Brandon would never be able to forget that as an anniversary date. (hopefully) So we will be married on the 7th of July 2007, not to do with luck, but b/c of what the numbers represent, and for the sake of my poor FH and his horrible memory. ;)

We are among those getting married July 07, 2007 also. We actually picked the date because of the special numbering. 777 is said to be a spiritual number, God's number of perfection. Everything is falling in to place for that day for us. We haven't had much trouble finding vendors. I pray we don't! The hotels in our area are booked though. We don't plan to do much in the wedding with the number 7 though. The place we are getting married at is smaller so we can't do the seven bridesmaids etc. We can't do seven pm times either. So for us it's just a special day :) Congrats to all of you!
My fiance and I chose the date because it is the closest Saturday to our existing anniversary, July 6. We will have been together a total of 9 years when we get married (with a 3 year engagement) due to the fact that he is finishing school this May.
We booked our reception hall a year and a half early due to the popularity of the hall and the lack of large halls in our area (northern MI) that can actually hold 300 guests!
Most of our wedding planning started last summer and we have virtually every vendor booked. Now we're on to things like invitations, favors, decorations, etc.
Our colors are kiwi green and chocolate brown, which I'm finding to be a popular color combination. We also have mixed in a light blue and off-white into our floral arrangements to complete the look.
We aren't doing any "Lucky 7" theme or anything. My family is pretty anti-gambling and anti-superstitious, so it's mostly just a novelty thing and a great conversation starter. Most people say, "your husband will never forget your anniversary!" (I hope so, too!)
Anyway, I'm still enjoying the planning bit for the most part, although I am swamped with work (I am a high school French teacher) and graduate work. Thankfully, I've got a supportive family and a helpful groom!

We're getting married on 7-7-7, too. We chose the date because we got engaged in October 2005, and I wanted at least a year to plan and wanted a summer wedding. I chose July because its the one month where I live that is least likely to rain, but won't have scorching heat. It didn't even occur to me about 7-7-7 until my dad said something, and we realized it was a saturday! So, it wasn't really about luck, and we're not doing a theme around it. I just think its "cool". Oh, and its near our anniversary (july 3rd) so that will be nice, too. :)

It just kind of happened that way. We were handfasted in December, '04. We got married on paper July 4, '06. We wanted to do the wedding close to the first anniversary of the marriage, but July 4 falls on a Wednesday this year. Since all of our guests would be from out of town, we picked the nearest convenient Saturday. Real original, right? It kind of helps that 3 is our number, and prime numbers are a goodness cosmically. So, 7 and 3 are prime numbers, and there are three sevens in the date. It's reaching to read too much into any of this, but it's amusing nonetheless! Keep wandering. Sometimes, half the fun of being somewhere is in the adventure of getting there.
