For their engagement, Justin surprised Janelle with a trip to Napa Valley! They stayed in in their own "cottage" at the Carneros Inn. The day of their arrival, they had spa appointments and then dinner reservations. The next morning, it was off for a day of wine tasting. Since Napa was their first trip together, it already held a special place in their hearts. Especially the first winery they visited two years prior - Sterling. They started the day at Sterling again and Justin popped the question in the gondola ride up to the top of the winery! It was completely private with wonderful views of the valley and vineyards and was the perfect place for Janelle to say, "Of course!"
The wedding was on a private beach, Las Caletas, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on November 1st, 2008. The guests had to take an hour long, private, "party boat" to get to the cove. As they arrived, a Mexican Trio band was playing above the beach on a cliff. Once everyone was seated, the processional began down rock stairs to the beach. We had a sand ceremony and butterfly release and the alter and table centerpieces were large cylinder vases with river rocks, a Betta fish, and floating green cymbidium orchids. Our reception was next to a bonfire on the beach which also included a smores station! And to top of the night, we hired two tribal fire dancers to perform for the group. The day could not have been more perfect!
