I'm a wedding and events photographer based in New York City. I grew up in South Jersey and travel there frequently, so a lot of my weddings have been in NJ. I'm very laid back, and love shooting events. I approach weddings from a photojournalistic angle. I think posed portraits are too contrived, so instead I opt to capture people when they're unaware of my presence. It allows for more candid expressions of emotion, which pleases a lot of my clients. A few people have told me, "Wow, you seem to have been everywhere! I didn't even notice!" I just tell them, "Thanks, that's my job!" Cheers, Shawn McGinniss www.shawnmac.net
No wedding plans for me just yet! I'm joining this site because there's usually interesting articles on weddings and photography-related issues on here that I would like to comment on. So here I am.
