I'm somewhat obsessed with the election and currently not working, so I spend a fair amount of time reading election news and the comments. One thing really stands out about the comments: Obama supporters talk about why they like Obama. McCain supporters just throw the current smear at Obama--OMG his birth certificate isn't real!! He's a secret Muslim!!
It parallels the campaigns themselves, Obama and Biden talk about what they're going to do to make things better, McCain and Palin just bash Obama, mostly on stupid, nonsensical things.
It really makes me wonder why people support McCain. Is it because they've just always been Republicans? They're happy to pay high taxes while the wealthy get tax breaks because they hope to be wealthy one day? I don't really encounter any McCain supporters in real life, but I'd love to ask one to provide 3 policy-based reasons to support McCain. I doubt they'd be able to answer.
