My girls are wearing brown too.  The guys are wearing black tuxes with the brown vests also.  I didn't want to use that either, but when I saw it in person, it looked very sharp!

Have you seen anything like this yet, LagunaBeach?  Apparently, brown tuxes are very 'in' for Spring 07, and I think they look super sexy:

 Above tux is Stephen Geoffrey Chocolate Parisian from Jim's Formal Wear.  I've seen others recently in bridal magazines as well, from designers like Calvin Klein, Perry Ellis, and Ralph Lauren.  One of my bridesmaids is getting married this summer, and her groom and groomsmen are wearing chocolate brown and the bridesmaids (including me!) are wearing brown as well.

If you don't like the look of the brown tuxedos, though, I agree with the other posters that certain brown/bronze/taupe vests look really nice with black tuxes.

This is my color scheme, and FH HATES brown so he will not wear a brown suit, but the BM dresses are Brown with pink details and the GM will wear black tuxes with pink vests/ties and FH is in a Black tux with a white vest/tie.  It looks really sharp, actually.

my colors are also chocolate and pink! and i am also undecided about both the bridesmaid dresses and tuxes... i think brown vests look okay with black tuxes from what ive seen in pics so i might do that, i am leaning toward that instead of pink vests just because im not sure my fiance would like everyone in a pink vest :-D i guess if i go w/ brown i wil get brown dresses for the bridesmaids. but my mom already got her dress for my wedding and it is brown - so she would blend in!

for my invites i am doing DIY using paperandmore with their champagne cardstock and also using pink and brown ribbon (thin pink and fatter brown ribbon together.) they are great - also have a great metallic brown cardstock.

Sorry, have to disagree with Firemansgirl about the brown not looking cool -- modern brown tuxes and suits have been updated since their last appearance in the late 70s-early 80s and are on the cutting edge of fashion -- plus, some men look better in brown.  IMHO, they're very sexy (as shown by the picture I previously posted)!

Just trying to point out that there are lots of options!

Didn't mean to sound upset!  I guess it's all a matter of personal taste when it comes to the brown...I don't think it would look like too much (my friend is doing it at her wedding, and it really depends on the total look with the flowers and the venue), plus, it doesn't usually look like too much black when the men wear black tuxes and the BMs also wear black...you get the idea...

But, like I said before, it's a matter of personal taste!  I just want this bride (and all others with this color choice) to know there are lots of possibilities.  She doesn't have to take my ideas!  It's all up to her (and maybe her FH ).
