The Perfect Proposal: Posted: Dec 14, 2009 7:41 PM; Hi all,
Let's play a game!
So, I know that there are a million ways to propose and that they are special in different ways for each couple, but let's say you could be proposed to however you wanted.
How would you want to be proposed to? Do you want to be swept off your feet (literally AND figuratively) by a knight in shining armor? Would you prefer something casual and informal, like on the couch while watching TV?
It can be as realistic or fairy tale-like as you want.

For my proposal, I want to be alone with my FH in an open space and not have a ring involved. I would want us to be having fun, but also to be facing some discomfort (you'll see why).
This is gonna sound super cheesy, but I can picture it in my head. Imagine the rowing scene in The Notebook, when Noah and Allie are on a rowboat in the water and it starts pouring. He'd pop the question while I'm freaking out and as we're scrambling to get out of the rain and back to the house. It would be a quick, simple, and calm proposal right in the middle of chaos, and it would make everything that was going wrong right.
If that had actually happened in the movie, it would probably be my favorite film, lol.

I can picture him taking me there and us sitting down for coffee (me either hot cocoa or herbal tea). He proceeds to pull out his laptop and show me all the saved emails and letters I send him throughout the years, he then apologizes to me and proceeds to show me a letter he hasn't yet showed me. I read it and then he says he wants to play me a song and plays me a song he wrote for me. After the song he gets on one knee with the ring and ask me to marry him and I of course say "YES"!!!..that's my dream proposal!!

There is a tour at Sea World where you can meet a penguin face-to-face and I've always kind of dreamed that my guy would take me there and propose to me with all the penguins around, ask me to be his penguin or something like that.

Really cheesy, I know, but I like it.
