I agree, I think it's very rude to exclude someones spouse or long term partner. I was just married in August and my close friend is getting married in September. I was just told that they are doing a combined bachelor/bachelorette party and after she spoke to both my husband and I about the party informs me that it's now bridal party only. I have to drive 30 minutes each way to go and I can't bring my husband to a coed, combined party in which my ex will be present. Not to mention my husband is friends with the groom but it was made clear that it's bridal party only. Then she had the nerve to ask if my husband could drive me to town, drop me off and pick me up after just telling me he's not invited. Am I the only one who thinks this is incredibly rude?
