What's important to you in your wedding plans?

I know the wedding dress is the most obvious one. When planning your wedding and besides choosing the dress you'll wear, what is the single most important detail you will pick for your wedding? Mine is the photography.

Well the groom is so obvious because he'd be the one proposing and sliding the ring on my finger that I didn't add him. That's always the first on the list.

The DJ and the other things that create a fun atmosphere (includes alcohol, in my circle).
As nice as it would be for people to speak positively about my food, decor, dress, ceremony, flowers, etc. after the wedding, I will feel like I failed to throw a good event if people aren't saying they had a blast.

Yeah I know what you mean. The cake, the Dj and the photography are the main important things to me.

If I had it to do over again, I would have budgeted more for photography and a little less for my dress, actually. I could have found a dress I loved for less, and I would have liked to have had more creative, photojournalism type photos, I think.

Photos are such a timeless thing.I couldn't think of a detail that has importance over your life than that.

The dress, food, venue, flowers are all important in their own right.

However the dress is only used once, the food is consumed immediately, the flowers wilt after a short while and the venue is only used on that night. Most pieces to a wedding are a one night consumable.

However, photography makes your dress timeless, your flowers and venue memorable and most importantly it captures all the most emotional moments of your day. It's something that can be shared with family and grand kids years after the wedding has occurred. Photography is really the only detail that has endurance and actually provides more sentimental value as we age.

of course the obvious important thing is Photography but besides this on my Wedding, which will be fortunately by the end of this year, would be presence of my parents from Jacksonville. I am dreaming a perfect Wedding so somethings are very important.

The most important thing about my wedding is the bride who will become my wife. As a special wedding treat, I'll not only give her a ring, but one of the Breitling watches I inherited from my Mom. But more generally speaking, I think I want to remember the wedding as a celebration with family and friends.

For us it was ambiance. When we chose our venue, floral arrangement, etc...we went for not too fancy and not too plain, and our intention was to create a really cozy and warm environment for people to enjoy our day with us.

:D Groom is not important - it's the inevitable thing for the wedding

And besides groom it's the bride itself: dress, hair, make-up; flowers.

I remember my wedding I was so anxious, nobody and nothing could calm me. I wanted my wedding to sparkle and wasn't able to found some sparkling things. Great THANKS to that site I made it (http://www.alacraft.com.au/) :))
