Zoo Wedding Ideas!

I need help! My fiance and I have decided we definitely want a zoo wedding. We're tentatively leaning towards Space Farms Zoo in Sussex, NJ (even though I think their lack of a giraffe could be a problem for me, so if you have any zoo suggestions in NY or NJ let me know!). It'll definitely be a spring wedding, since it would be no fun in the winter unless we got parkas for the ostriches LOL!

For wedding colors we're thinking khaki and leopard print, but I'm really having problems trying to think of how to decorate a zoo! Also, which animals do you think would be the most romantic for the ceremony? And which would be the least off putting to eat around for the reception?

I'd really like to figure out a way to incorporate my two cats into the wedding but I think I'd be too worried about them escaping and getting eaten by something, unless someone knows of a company that makes kennels that look like fairy tale carriages! I've looked online but am so far coming up blank.

I don't trust wedding planners, because the ones I've talked to all seem kind of pushy, so I thought maybe other soon to be brides could be more helpful since they won't just be trying to sell me things. Thanks for your help, ladies!

The Bronx Zoo is amazing in The Bronx, New York. I've been going there since I was younger and the zoo is huge with every animal you could possibly imagine. It's also very clean, and the scenery is absolutely gorgeous for wedding photos

Most romantic animal?.....Hippopotamuses x2 if you ask me...I don't know why, I find them cute.

Wow what a unique venue.....:) I love the idea.....Here are few more zoo where you can plan your wedding....
Bronx Zoo, New York
Peaceable Kingdom Petting Zoo
The Bucks County Zoo And Animal Junction
You can decorate the place with animal print table runners, feathers on the tables with animal name on the tables......And I think you can do peacock theme for your wedding.....
