We have a bunch new spammers with direct links to the websites so we can't Report the Threads.

The spammers are using the names : sratonies and gratonie.

Have they considered using a capture security measure to post and/or reply to threads? just curious. It might help cut down on the spammers.

I also sent this as a message directly to Moderator.

I'd LOVe to know why ALL of my posts AND new threads have been deleted since July 2011. Since we had started a new prego thread and people had replied to it - that really SUCKS! It's no wonder most people have left the boards.

We're trying to get to the bottom of this issue. PharmTox, I'm emailing you directly.

If any other users have seen their threads or a large number of messages vanish please email contact@brides.com with the subject "Forum Issue". Include your username, the approximate number of messages missing (about ten, about fifty, about a hundred, etc), the date you noticed that this happened, and specify if whole threads of yours were deleted.

From time to time legitimate posts get deleted along with spam posts--this happens when a user replies to a spam message instead of the OP, when the spam post is deleted so do any replies to the spam.

I'm very sorry that this has happened and I'll do my best to make sure it doesn't happen again.

I did receive your email and I thank you.

I answered your questions as best I can and I appreciate that you addressing it.

I've always made an effort to not reply to spammers, so I'm not sure what the issue was. But I am confident that you are working to fix it.

Ive noticed this too. I had my october 10, 2010 deleted and my post about my anniversary deleted and probably many more. It's not even worth the hassle. I think I will be deleting my account soon.

Cheetah - They've since discovered that an interim person was deleting things that shouldn't have been deleted. That person is no longer working for them and now they have a trained person working on the boards.

Yes, our beloved Allison was assigned other duties, so another moderator took over. The spammers got way out of hand, and the replacement moderator would do nothing, then suddenly delete all kinds of stuff. She is no longer in the job.

Moderation is so important. If the spammers take over the board, legitimate board members will leave. The spammers aren't going to answer the legitimate, paid-for ads.

I think this is the first time within the past week (at the least) that the "most recent" is not filled with loads of spam and joke-posts. It's nice to see legitimate posts here again, FINALLY! Hopefully they are getting it under control. Lately I've been feeling like the forums aren't even worth checking anymore.
