Feeling much better this Christmas
Posted: Dec 16, 2010 1:35 PM

Well the Christmas season is back again and I'm feeling much better than last year. My BF and I have been going to counseling and have much better communication skills now and are doing wonderful. There are no false hopes or expectations this year. I know what I'm getting for christmas, a car starter! And it's being installed today! YAY! So I'm not expecting a proposal anytime over the holidays. lol

My only issue is that I had set an "in the head" date of the end of this year and I'm really not sure what I'll do in the new year. Our relationship is way better than it ever has been but I still don't want to wait forever. So, I have ordered a ring for him and I'm thinking if he doesn't ask me, I'll ask him. If he says yes, wonderful. If he says no well then that make my decision very clear.

It's going to be a busy holiday season but I'm lucky to have the week between Christmas and New Years off this year. Lots of dinner with family and friends.

What is everyone else doing for the holidays this year?

I think that it is so wonderful that you are going to propose to your BF. Good luck and know that if it is meant to be, then you will get the answer that you are supposed to have. Just know your worth, and he should too! Good luck.

I'm so glad things are going better for you and your boyfriend. I think its very cool and brave of you to propose to your boyfriend. I know I could never do that myself, I don't think I could ever muster up the courage to do it, so I give you a lot of credit! I hope all goes well for you! I hope you have much joy this holiday season with your family and friends. I know I am very busy myself. My boyfriend and I are spending Christmas with my family and then the next day is our anniversary, so it should be some good times for us!

turns out that I didn't need to ask him afterall. He surprised me this afternoon at my parents house and asked me. I of course said yes... Goodbye "waiting" forum. Hello recently engaged!
