Dress second thoughts

Hi everyone,

I don't post on here very much but I do read enthusiastically and know that there's some fantastic advice given. I was just wondering if whet I am feeling is normal?

I found my dress a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with it. I loved how simple it was. (http://www.berketexbride.com/acatalog/Product_Range_Marc_Le_Carr__177.html) I put the deposit down on it yesterday after trying it on again, getting everyone's approval (mum, bridesmaids etc.) and wearing it around the shop for an hour. I was soooo happy yesterday. I now am starting to have second thoughts though about whether I should have gone for something more extravagent (sp?) or something different.

Is this normal and just because I've been trying to find 'the one' for almost a year now and now that I've finally decided I'm likely to second guess what I've chosen?

Sorry, just starting to panic!

Clare

Clare,

Personally I think it's normal. What type of wedding are you having? Is the simplicity in line with your usual sense of style?

Personally, I think you're probably just scared that it's not what you thought - I had that happen to me.

We're getting married in a castle. But the rest is very simple. That's what I'm going for, simplicity. My mother used to think I needed a statement dress because we're getting married in a castle but she says that she loves this one anyway. It's funny because I originally wanted something very much like this, then I was convinced by mum, bridesmaids etc. that I should go for something more wow, and I was starting to agree but then I tried this one on and fell in love with it.

I agree with the other posters. Don't second guess yourself, it really is a beautiful dress! And if simplicity is what you want, then that's what you should have. Personally, I think if the venue is extravagant, it's better to have the other aspects be simple. You don't want to have too much in your face kinda stuff. I think you made an excellent choice!
