Whoa!! You have a TON done!! What are you going to do for the next year and nine months? LOL I need to get going here!

I ♥ the guestbook picture frame idea! I was thinking about skipping that because just like you said-you would have to pull the book out every now and again and I probably never would. I may steal that idea from you. It's really cool!!

I didn't know Michael's did 40% every week. Thanks!! Good to know.

The mason jar centerpieces sound really pretty. I have a bunch of jars (not mason) in my basement right now. Hmmmm?

I also just read online that www.samsclub.com has bulk flowers that you can order online and the reviews are pretty good and the prices are not bad. I may look into that some more.

Yeah, I was going to do the garland on the tables too just to dress them up a bit. I wasn't going to put the twinkle lights on them though just because of our venue. There are not too many outlets and it might wind up just being a pain to figure out. Our ceremony is at one o'clock so I probably won't use any twinkle lights but def. lots of candles just because I love them!

Did you get the envelope seals at Michael's too?

My mother is having a nervous breakdown right now because I just told her that I ordered POSTCARD invitations. She could not understand what I meant at first and then she was like you mean your wedding invitation IS a postcard? And I said yeah, what's the problem? We're having a casual wedding. And she just kept saying you can't do that, you have to have a real invitation! AHHH??!!

.....only 597 more days of this.......

Yup, I got the seals at Mihaels.. I got 50 of em.. for 4 bucks.. 2 pks - 25 seals for $4.99. I used my discount coupon! :P I ouldnt find anythin else I wanted to buy.

I'm defintley doing invites for sure but not sure design and if should do blue and green cuz anything I liked I didnt really like.

We dont have a Sams club out here, just a walmart and they dont carry flowers. We have a costco and theyre good prices but a local groery store would be cheaper.

Yuh I know, I have a lot planned and bought.. so I'm kinda like,... what do I do next. LOL

I have my table numbers and name tags already. I bought them at the dollar store. Some things you can go cheap on.
The name tags have hearts on em, the table numbers are just plain white with the number. I also at the dollar store, bought all blue and all green butterflies.. because I love butterflies.. and in the summer it'll be nice and theyre our colors and have some glitter to it. They have a clip on the bak, so I will either clip it on top of the numbers or on the side. I wanted to add something to it since theyre just plain numbers. If i hadnt bought them, i would have DIY, but one less thing i have to do, and it was 3 bucks. :)

I have those white rock/gems.. a lot of people sprinkle them on the tables, but find that tacky. I will around the cake, but may use em in the vases. :)

652 days here.. haha cant wait.

I was thinking about jars yesterday and I remembered that I had this picture saved on my computer and I just wanted to share it.

Photobucket

I bought some of this stuff-

Photobucket

I think that I will sprinkle some on the cake table along with some fake white rose petals that I got from the dollar store.

Ohh love the butterflies!! www.orientaltrading.com has a bunch of butterfly stuff for weddings and the prices are reasonable.

My mom gave me about 50 little white boxes that look like chairs when they're folded up. I might use them as placecards but I haven't decided yet. She bought them at a yard sale for .25!

I think that today I will spend some time looking for centerpiece and favor ideas.

I would just go with one plian color scheme color for napkins and even if it was a dollar store.. who cares.. theyre just gonna get thrown out anyway. Save the money on napkins!!!
Im gonna be renting all the seat and table covers and napkins.. so these were extra at cake time. Somethings you can go cheap on.. this would be one of em.

Yeah you're right about the napkins. People are just going to wipe their mouths and hands with them and then throw them away. They may not even notice the design on them.

The fold up chair thing is cute if you use them for seat names. You can get some white paper thats a little thiker than normal paper and make your own seat names. I just got mine at dollar store and they had two hearts.. so worked for me. Theyre nie.. dont look cheap, works with our theme and one less thing I have to do.. for a dollar.. heck ya.

I am too doing the rose pedals (red) and I have some clear/rock/gems that sparkle.. just a few around the cake.. i dont want to over do it. I seen tea lights around the cake as well, but we may do lights throught the tulle, so I dont want too much light. lol.

I also bought blue rose pedals for the dollar store incase we have a flower girl. My frind has a kid whose 5 months old.. lol and she said we you use her as a flower girl, but then turned our shes gettin married.. oh thats my friend from grade 10. Then decideds that she doesnt even ask me,.. I didnt ask her cuz she told me around that time she will be pregnant again. So, now I dont disuss wedding stuff with her. I did in the past but not ever since she got engaged.. four months later after me. LOL Seens like what I do, she does. Hers is in fall though... I love ours how its in summer. :) My day sometimes falls in with the long weekend (first weekend) in August. So sometimes two weekends off in a row.. cuz I will always want my anniversary date off.. and then long weekend in August. :)

Yes that's what I was thinking of doing! I thought I could just buy a few pieces of cardstock and then make my own placecards. Maybe I could tie them to the backs of the chair part of the box. Nothing fancy though.

I've seen a lot of wedding things in the dollar store with the double heart design. It was all really nice! Yeah you can't beat $1 for placecards.

Are you going to do escort cards too?

I don't think that I will. We're having a small guest list so I thought that the guests could just walk around to the couple of tables that we'll have and look for their placecard.

Do you know what you're going to do for favors yet?

I'm doing my seating plan on a big peice of brisol board and then put in on a frame and hanging with a easel. So DIY project a head. Or may check at Staples and see what they can do. So when people come in they will see the list and just to the table where there name is. So both a seating chart, table numbers and place cards.

My favors are already bought. Pillard 3x6 candles. I have the paper, the design already made up with a boarder. They are mostly all white, although a few light yellow because couldnt get them all white. I got an awesome deal. I will tie raffia around it in a bow with a 2 heart charm with it. It will have our names and wedding date, along with "Thank you for sharing this speail day with us".

How about you?

DUH!! I'm sorry I do remember that you're doing candles for your favors. My mind is a little over-loaded right now.

I have no clue about what we're going to do for favors yet except maybe we'll do something edible.

That's a really good plan that you have for your seating. I need to figure ours out but thankfully I have lots of time.

My mom does a TON of craft projects and she always has some stuff left over so last night I stopped by her house and raided her garage! LOL

She had a dozen small vases that I took. I can use these for the centerpieces. I also found some leftover stuff to make candy or chocolate lollipops. I took the candy molds and the sticks and two packages of cello. I could use these for the favors but I probably won't. I also took a few small bud vases and a few other odds and ends. So all in all not a bad shopping trip! LOL

I bought three wood letters last night to make our monogram for the cake table. Walmart had them for .88 each. I just need to get some paint now.

My FMIL also does a ton of crafts and she made me up some cake bags! She dropped them off to me last night. I had bought these little paper bags on ebay for $1.99 and I thought that I could use them for the favors but then I changed my mind so I gave them to my FMIL. I knew that she would find a use for them and she did. She just made her own stamp and then stamped our names onto the bags. She used some special kind of ink. It might have been called Stay On. It won't run or bleed or rub off and it's non-toxic. I think that I'm going to add a little stenciling to the bags.

♥♥♥ 595 days to go ♥♥♥

I ♥ this!!

Photobucket

I love all the lanterns and the flower and asparagus centerpieces. This is one of the centerpieces that I found online that I loved. There's another one that I like too that's white pillar candles surrounded by asparagus or green beans and tied with a bow.

The paper laaterns are cool, but Nic doesnt like em. I think they would look cool. :/ ah well... gotta compromise. The candles/ lights will set the mood. Do you have a Pier Imports over there? They have some good deals there as well. I picked up a box of clear glass tea light holders. There are 5 different sizes and look like drinking glass. I got blue and green candles to put inside. They will either be at the front of our headtable.. or I would like to have s small skinny table to put them behind on us by our backdrop. I want to do something a little different, maybe even get a blue and green spot light and have the tilt so they meet in the middle. I seen some DIY pitures and some people even used a curtin.. so ive been looking around try to find something.

So you must be Amy?? Haha And Nic is short for Nicole?

I think that all those candles behind the head table would be so pretty. You could also get a few boxes and put them under the tablecloth and the candles would be at varying heights.

There used to be a Pier One right where I live but it closed years ago.

I'm pretty limited when it comes to how much decorating I can do at our venue but I did see an idea that I really liked. I didn't save a picture of it so I'll have to go and find it. You may like it too. Do you want something that you can DIY for your backdrop?
