Pick a spot. Sept tends to have the most hurricanes, but that can change. If you are super worried about it look int travel insurance covering honeymoon and hurricanes. Not sure if it well, because it might be considered an "Act of God". However depending on the severity of the hurricane, it might not even affect your location. A cat 5 hurricane will affect it, a cat 2 might delay you a day.

I have an October wedding and therefore an October Honeymoon as well - and we were worried about the same thing. We purchased "Cancel for any reason insurance" and it was an extra $129 a person - so $258 total - not bad considering it gave us HUGE peace of mind about the whole trip.

We are going to Riviera Maya, Mexico - so not even the "hot spot" for hurricanes, but it was a concern for us regardless so we bought the insurance anyway. Our resort looks amazing and the price seemed reasonable. We considered going somewhere in the Caribbean, but it was a little harder to find direct flights - and with me being a nervous flyer, it was important to us to spend as little time in the air as possible!

You might want to consider a Caribbean destination that is statically outside of the hurricane belt, like Aruba or Curacao. Many August, Sept and October travelers make this choice.

We're having an Oct wedding as well and are going to Aruba for our honeymoon. It's too far south to have a 'hurricane season' :) Beautiful weather year around!
