Hello MissSueBee! Congrats on your upcoming wedding! I think it's awesome that you are getting married in J., I really think you will like it there.

Okay, so you want a good dress. You could take a chance on local vendors and shops, but I wouldn't recommend that. You could end up with a dress that you settled for, and didn't have the time to get altered to your shape. If you want to do that, that is entirely up to you.

Personally, I'd try online shopping -

www.etsy.com (You can put an ad out and request a certain dress, and someone will make it for you, exactly to your specifications)

www.unique-vintage.com (They sell REALLY cute wedding/bridesmaids/prom dresses that aren't crazy formal; perfect for a beach wedding)

www.hm.com (It's hit or miss, but you never know)

www.modcloth.com (Some more really cute, more casual sundresses)

www.ebay.com (It's ebay. Everything is there.)

If you give us more of a description of what kind of dress you want, then I know there are at least three girls on this board (besides me) who could help you find either exactly what you want, or something really similar.

Love me when I least deserve it, because that is when I need it the most. (Swedish proverb)

"Lace, trumpet or mermaid, preferably ivory" ....

Okay, well here is a link to the "destination wedding dresses" from Unique Vintage. Beautiful (and cheap) dresses there -

Here's a few ivory dresses from that same website, I'll place the link for each under the picture -

I highly recommend you just look around online, find a picture or two for inspiration, and then consider requesting someone on Etsy make the dress for you.

And here are some blue (or, well, they have blue IN them) shoes for you. If you don't like them, feel free to roam through the website I link you to under the picture, regardless. They have all kinds of nifty stuff, and I don't know exactly what your style might be, & you didn't specify if you wanted flats or heels. I looked for heels -
