Comfortable but CUTE walking shows

Please help. I don't want to wear clunky tennis shoes or, if possible, ANY tennis shoes while we are treking through Europe. Does anyone have any suggestions for comfortable yet cute shoes? Mary Janes. Wedges. Sandals but have comfort? I want to get them soon so I can start breaking them in.

Grazie!

Dear VG,

Oh Oh Oh! I know!

I have some Clarks that I JUST LOVE. I go to Europe all the time and am well versed in the comfy shoes for sightseeing issues. I don't like to look "too American", either, as I think that makes me a pickpocket target. I like to blend in.

My new beloved Clarks are flat maryjanes, and I love them. They feel like heaven on my feet.

Here's the link:

If this doesn't work, go to the Clarks website (www.clarks.com) look for Women's Shoes, then Unstructured. The style I have are called Parody.

They are wonderful. I have happy feet and they look great in Europe.

(Don't want to look like an American tourist? Avoid white sneakers, shorts and fanny packs.)

I wear Converse everywhere.
They come in lots of cute colours--I have owned a grey pair, a turquoise pair, a yellow pair and a purple pair.

Or Doc Marten's are well structured and excellent for walking and are super diverse now.

Scroll down and check out the 'Mel' shoes and boots.

Good luck!

Thanks ladies for your help. The shoes you all recommended are definitely what I was thinking but oh the price!! But hey! Sometimes you gotta pay. Like I always say "fast, cheap, good - choose two".

I do have Docs but they're 8 holes and there's no way I'll be lugging those with me across the pond but the loafer-like ones would work. Thanks again!!

i know they seem expensive, but they last a long time. i've had the Tod's 3 years and they are still going strong! it's worth the money to get 1 good quality shoe that you'll have for a long time instead of spending a quarter of the price but having to replace them every six months.
