Destination wedding venue help
Posted: Apr 11, 2010 9:01 PM

I have always dreamed of getting married on a beach with bare feet. My parents and FH just recently got back from a trip to Bahamas to look at possible venues for an April 2011 wedding. We didn't find the perfect venue and are back on the wedding hunt again. We did realize we like all-inclusive or optional all-inclusive, a resort of about 400 rooms, a reception area that is closer into the main resort, kids allowed, and a resort that is close to the airport. We live in the NY area and wanted an island that has a non-stop flight option. We are starting to look at St. Thomas and Punta Cana. Does anyone have any suggestions or been to resorts with this criteria? Thanks for any input or ideas :)

I too am in the process of deciding where to have my wedding
I'm thinking of either Breezes Negril, or Beaches Negril.
And I am also hearing about the Riu Ocho Rios. So those are options you can think about as well.
Good luck hunting, congrats and all the best :)

I know how you feel. I'm looking at Breezes all inclusive Trelawny Resort. Its huge, has alot to do and it is great for kids and adults. I like that it includes weddings even free ones. I mean what other resort offers ice skating and trapeze. My wedding party likes the site too.

She has kept me laughing since we met

Sri Lanka the paradise island in the indian ocean matches all your requirements, its pretty cheap and you can get a all inclusive wedding package for less than $1500 in a 5* hotel for about 2 weeks..with elephant rides, wedding ceremony, photographs,,,. but going their might cost bit for the ticket

Love to have this address as my Online Wedding Diary

i would suggest Jamaica, it has a multitude of all-inclusive resorts on the island. These resorts are the perfect place to have a destination wedding. There are many wedding chapels to say "I Do" surrounded by your family and friends. For easy access, some these wedding chapels are located on the resort premises.
