I currently work at a place that sells second hand kids stuff: clothes, toys, and lots for babies!
I was a customer before getting a job there recently :)
I will say that we are really popular because we only buy stylisht clothes (even though they are for kids), and we buy a mix of labels. Maybe one person is looking for that Tommy Hilfiger shirt for their child that will only cost 6.50, but then maybe someone else just wants the plain jeans for a better deal (2.50 maybe). It's so interesting to see what people see as a bargain and what they do not.
I will also say that we get a lot of clothes in with the tags still on them :)
So happy shopping! This job has made me realize that I should try shopping sometimes for second hand clothes for me - but our Value Village isn't that great anymore so I'm not sure what other stores are in my area.
I recently got a 100% cashmere sweater at a consignment shop for $2...it was in perfect condition! This particular store is great...only sells women's clothing, jewelry, and accessories. I've seen Coach bags, Michael Kors shoes, etc there.
