I didn't know about it until the next day, and my cake decorator made my remaining cake look perfect after the fall.

I can't stop laughing at AOTB's post! Too funny, I would have been pissed!

So, we saved the top tier and it is living in my aunt's second freezer until our anniversary, but we still had enough cake left over after that to have it for breakfast in the hotel the next morning. Sitting in the hotel bed eating scarfing down wedding cake before we had to be at the airport super early that morning is one of my favorite wedding memories.
