If I recollect, it was someone raving about their wonderful photographer. You know the type. One post. "I just have to tell you about..."

IOW the photographer touting their own product.

Hi. Just wanted to "clear the air" on this post. I put up the original post regarding a photographer (my dear friend) that, in all honesty, has shot many of my friends who have truly been pleased. I sincerely wanted to give him credit for a job well done, as he is just starting out full time. The following response with regards to it being "fishy" startled me. I have never posted anything on these forums before and was not expecting that kind of response to my post. Out of worry for my friend and his business reputation, I contacted brides.com to find out how I could remove this post. With out any official response from the site, and no clear way to remove the message myself, I "deleted" it, so to speak.

Never intended to stir up drama or do anything sketchy. Just wanted to use the forum site for what I thought its purpose is, to recommend great people etc. in the wedding industry, among other reasons.

Will no longer be using brides.com for this avenue.

I appreciate the understanding and my sincerest apologies for posting anything "inappropriate."

It's because so many vendors come on this site for free advertising, pretending to be an incredibly satisfied customer raving about the wonderful vendor.

We get really tired of fake raves.
