Creative way to ask bridesmaids?

Hey all! Congratulations to all the fellow brides to be!!
I was wondering if anyone had creative and fun ideas for asking friends to be your bridesmaids? I would love to do something fun and memorable, but I'm not all that creative. Any ideas or stories? Thanks!!

If things go the way I want this is one idea I had. I wanted to give a card and a flower in my main wedding color to each person and the card will read "Will You Be My Bridesmaid or Maid of Honor?" I thought that would be something they would like.

i have pretty much the same idea here. a purse or bangle that you know they'll like will go along with the card perfectly.
