Peacock theme???

Peacock theme???

Anyone have any ideas for a peacock colored/themed wedding....i am thinking deep blues and teals with browns and golds, but i still need some ideas.

I love the colors, but I'd be careful about going overboard with a peacock theme - that might be kind of scary. Also, did you think about the connotation of peacocks with pride? Just wanted to make sure you'd thought about it - I don't think you'd want people thinking you did a peacock theme because you're proud and think you're better than them, or something.

Anyway, I was thinking about using those colors and I thought it would be neat to decorate using peacock feathers. My colors ended up changing, so the idea's out for me, but I still think it would look great! You can order the feathers online in bulk - they're actually pretty cheap. Just google 'peacock feathers' - I found a few sites where you can buy them. They come in several sizes - I was thinking of putting the smaller ones in some sort of vase and using them as centerpieces. You could buy a few larger ones and put them in a large container to flank the doors to your venue. I think it would be a really neat look, but you'd need a pretty modern-looking venue for it to look right.

Just an idea, but if you're really unorthodox, I think it would be cool to skip the floral bouquet and carry a bouquet of peacock feathers. It would be really pretty, unique, and much cheaper than flowers! Just a thought.

I love the colors, and you could use feathers in your decor, but that's about as far as I'd go with a "theme." I have a couple of peacock feather centerpiece pics that I can send you.

I just want to say I love peacocks!  Those colors are my favorite!  You could use peacock feathers in your bouquet to add a little flare, or tie a peacock feather with ribbon to your favors.  I saw a story in a wedding magazine a year or two ago of an outdoor fall wedding that used no flowers, but all feathers instead.  It was interesting....but the feathers were really cool.

I love the idea. I wouldn't go over the top with the birds, but get graphic with the design of the feathers. I love the color combination.

That's a great color scheme. You will have so much room for creativity with a peacock color palate. Just don't allow live birds to wander arround the reception. They're mean emm-effers.

My fella loves peacock feathers and we've looked into them for the wedding as well I like the ideas and pics at this link http://www.save-on-crafts.com/peacockeyes2.html and the prices on some of the bulk feather 'not just the page it links to thats just cool pics but in the feathers part of the site.

love the peacoc feathe colors. they are so bright...al so different but yet works together so good. But don't go overboard and stick feathers in every possible place.
