Ideas for a Card Box Needed
Posted: Nov 6, 2009 12:09 AM

Hello all,

I've been looking around for a box to hold cards and I cannot find one that is not:
1. a birdcage
2. Has bells, heart, lace and stuff like that
3. Less than $50.

Is it really so hard to find a modern looking box where a sash could be put on it for maybe $25?

Any ideas welcomed!

Hello again :)

Car box- I think your best bet is to create your own box. Use cardbord boxes, wraping paper, paints, ribons, flowers...incorporate your wedding colors and in that way make it like part of the decorations.

I bought a cute little basket at Michaels and decorated it with fall leaves and fall colored ribbon. I think I got it 50% off too so it was maybe $10, if that.

Decorate your own box. Use an old mailbox. Get creative and make a monster card box, or even a robot:

Have fun with it, but just make sure the cards can't be easily slipped out of the box and walk off.

It might not suit the style of your reception but we used a picnik basket with a few roses tied to the handle.
