So I thought a thread with the best make-up steals and deals would be great for those of us doing our own make-up! What mascara can you just not live without? What foundation makes your skin look flawless? I am a drug store make-up buyer, no expensive stuff here... what do you use? What's the one make-up product you can't live without?!

Sunny, I absolutely love Avon make-up. I usually try to buy it on sale so that it is more comparable to drug-store prices, but even when it's not, it's not that expensive. I prefer their mousse foundation (I can't remember the name of it right now), but it's not a full-coverage foundation. I have found that their make-up tends to be gentle on my (sensitive) skin and their mascara and eyeliner do not irritate my eyes or cause them to itch.

I would love other make-up suggestions! Especially FACE WASH. I am horrible at remember to wash my face at night (I tend to just go-go-go-go-go- then CRASH). I have been experimenting with some an the liivbotanicals line at avon, but I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it. My face is really sensitive, and I have had a lot of issues with things causing my face to get red, blotchy, or itchy when I use them.

I had someone do my make up, and with the exception of the eye shadow, she used MY make up. Why? Because I was comfortable with my foundation. (It didn't make me want to claw my face off. I always feel like that is a good quality in a foundation.) The amazing thing? she applied EYELINER with a brush!

I use CoverFX (available at Sephora) It's a great one. Don't use the loose mineral foundations for your wedding day...they will have flecks that will impact your photos.

For mascara, I used Too Faced waterproof one. I loved it as it was actually very good (it passed the Tear Test -- chick flick marathon) and it didn't make my eyes itch.

Yes, the make up is a bit pricier at places like Sephora; however, it's not like you can't use this stuff again. It lasts a long time. You're spending money on a dress you'll never wear again, why not invest in some make up that you will ? <G>

I agree, Sephora is my favorite store ever! I am a makeup addict and I am always trying new products (I also worked in cosmetics for a couple years for clinique) However, I have recently fallen in love with Covergirl LashBlast mascara! It's amazing! I used to use DiorShow and LashBlast is so much better. I think if you are putting something on your skin, it should be high quality, you have your skin forever and can't change it, so take care of it! I refuse to put drugstore skincare and foudation, etc. on my face. It's totally worth the investment, and really, it seems like drugstore stuff goes bad faster so you might even save money in the long run!
