Jeez testy testy. All I said was that I find it hilarious. And Its even funnier now. Youre so easy to get riled up. Over NOTHING. Seriously, noone cares about your ring. You dont have to keep explaining how special and wonderful it is and why. We get it. Its okay. Its allll going to be okay....

Kelley, what I find so incredibly hilarious about Woosta is that she keeps saying that she doesn't care what we think, but then in the next sentence tries to explain herself so we'll think better of her. It's awesome. She is very easy to get a rise out of, as well. On the other thread she kept talking about us taking the bait. Methinks the shoe is in the other foot. :) And Woosta, Kennys never said that there is no difference, she said that she can't see a difference. Truly I don't see the difference between yours and several others that I've seen. Sure, it's special because it's yours, but you could say that about and e-ring.

Welcome EllaRae! your ring is lovely. I have a beautiful (IMHO)) sapphire ring set that I love. Pics that I have taken do not do it justice.

Congrats and good luck!!

For me, quality was more important than size.

My fiance bought me a solitaire diamond engagement ring. My style is more timeless, classic, and elegant, so this ended up working out nicely.

Shape: Round
Cut: Ideal
Color: F Colorless
Clarity: VS1
Carat: .68

It's mounted in a Tiffany setting with a platinum band.

He purchased it at Robbins Brothers.

Like Pharm, I wanted a sapphire instead of a diamond. FH and I designed the ring together. My wedding ring will match the band, with the trinity knots all around, and his will have the same pattern, but on a wider band. Nothing has ever meant more to me than when the love of my life asked me to marry him. :)

I like that ring very nice, very pretty. I like the 3 stone ring style I believe it represents the past, present and future it tells the story of our lives with our partners. Congrats on your engagement.

MsD. I love your ring it's lovely. I like the sides that vee shape sets off the center stone nicely. Did you get the matching band that was under it or did you get something different?

Did you ever stop to think that no two popcorn kernals are the same? I would pass you some, but I used them all up in my experiment.

Can we all please just stop this ridiculous nonsense? This thread got very fired up, let's just leave it alone now - we are all engaged and getting married. This is a time for happiness - LET IT GO.

Ellarae, your ring is stunning! I just love it! In fact all of your rings are beautiful - there was a lady (I can't remember her name) and she posted a ring with a blue stone - very unique!

So I am getting married on Sunday and I am starting to get nervous - we have two rambunctious 7 year old twins (my nephews) as ring-bearers. Let's hope our rings don't end up in the ocean..these two are the definition of terrible twins LOL

Someone asked where in Newport I am getting married - it is at Astors Beechwood - I see you are getting married in RI too - many many congrats!!!

Gorgeous rings everyone - does anyone else find that they need to get theirs cleaned often to retain that sparkle? I need to get one of those professional steam jewelry cleaners they have in shops, the other stuff just doesn't cut it!

I soak mine in windex over night. It gets back most of the shine (but not as much as the jeweler does). Also soaking it in dish soap and warm water and then using a soft tooth brush helps get some of the day to day grime off. I love it when my ring is at its shiniest, it sparkles like a prism when the light hits it just right.

Jules--I use the delicate jewerly cleaner that comes in a tub from Wal-mart. It has a brush to help get the grime out and works wonders to restore the sparkle!

Thanks Kennys!

Yes, we did get the band beneath it shown in the picture. Out of all the things that went into the wedding/engagement, it was that wedding band that felt like the biggest splurge. I'm not a diamond person, never was (I'm actually a little jealous of you non-diamond engagment ring people, because I feel those are the coolest, most unique rings) but hubs is -- which is why I pretty much told him he could get me whatever he wanted, just preferably not a yellow-gold band. I feel like I completely lucked out, because it's something I never would have had the patience to find myself, and it's something that I get compliments on from perfect strangers still. I also really like the fact that, in my opinion, it's beauty doesn't come from the size of the center stone (which isn't that big -- certainly smaller than the center stone on the jeweler's website and definitely smaller than the one Burke proposed to Christina with on Grey's Anatomy).

My favorite detail about my wedding ring:

One of the songs that was a theme at our wedding is a song by a guy named Jamie Cullum called "Get Your Way," which is a song about how sometimes you just let the other person get their way because you just love 'em so much. The opening lyric is "Dinner at eight? That sounds fine."

Well, my ring's inscription says "Dinner at eight. . . ." and his says ". . .that sounds fine" and it's a kind of inside joke between us that reminds us to make time for eachother when life gets busy.

Ah, man, writing all that out totally just makes me want to call hubs right now and arrange a date tonight. Later!

MrsHarrisonFord - Are you serious? I had no idea about popcorn and I just had some last night! Oh I feel so honored to eat such unique kernals! Then again, I DID go all the way to the next town to get some!
