Anyone interested in a coupon train?

A friend of mine is in one of these through a message board she's on and gets some great coupons. Basically, everyone who is in the train buys their sunday paper with all the coupons. Cut them all out. You keep the ones you want, and the ones you don't want you stick in an envelope and send them to your person. They in turn look through, take any coupons they want out of there. Then, they add the coupons they don't want from THEIR sunday paper and mail all the coupons to the next person on the list. So basically, once a week you will mail coupons, and once a week you will receive coupons. :) I know that we can ALL use a few extra dollars off of our grocery bill, so if anyone is intersted, let me know. I'd be happy to set it up.

Definitely a great idea! I work for a company that distributes one of the coupon books in the Sunday paper. FYI, we also have a consumer website, where you can find a lot of the same coupons online, and print just the ones you want.

I think this is a great idea. If only my Sunday paper didn't go missing so often.

OK, so it looks like we have a few people interested. How about if anyone interested PM's me with your name and address. I'll set up a list and then send everyone 1 person's name and address. We can start with this sunday, maybe everyone plan on putting the coupons they don't want in the mail on tuesday? When you get your envelope, take out the ones you want, then next week add the coupons from your sunday paper to the envelope and send them on to your person. :)

I'm interested but we don't always get the sunday paper (although my mom does!) but I also get lots of BJ's coupons I don't use--any interest in those? Baby ones are already spoken for--I found someone on craigslist who wants those in exchange for cat ones!

I'm excited too! LOL yes, doesn't take much! I LOVE getting mail that's not bills! My mom even got into it, she's hoping for some of her eye drop coupons! LOL I wait to mail out until I get the bunch of coupons, right? (Just want to make sure I'm doing it right!)

Mine are headed out today. (And I'm excited to receive mail).

Heidi, I should warn you. This week, you get one of my outer envelopes from my wedding. Other weeks, it may be inner envelopes or law firm envelopes. I ran out of normal envelopes months ago but accidentally ordered twice as many envelopes as I needed for my wedding (they come in boxes of 50 not 25). So, no freaking out at mail from a law firm in Massachusetts! (Unless, it's not full of coupons, and then worry away.)

Gee I send to Karebearg but now I'm thinking I need to find odd envelopes to send to her too! LOL I love it! I'm used to seeing weird mail, we get mail for the guy who sold us the house's dead gma. (she never lived here--nobody had for 2 years--pretty sure he was scamming the system to get her into a "preferred" nursing home) We also get TONS of junk mail for FIL 'cause he's on the mortgage with my DH. We're putting all his junk mail in a box and giving it to him as a gag gift at Christmas! LOL He "reminded" us that it's a federal offense to open mail not addressed to us, and so we decided that when he visits (ONCE a year!) he needs to receive ALL his mail! LOL Hope he likes it as much as we do!
