What Would you think?

ok I am getting married in January 2010. My colors are hot pink, black and white. I know these are not really a winter wedding color but they are my fav colors. So, the black and white I have decided to use zebra stripe accents. do you think this would be to much going on? I plan to use it in a table runner, invitations, and the cake. Its a little over the top but hey why not. What are your thoughts if any?

I say go for it. It sounds really pretty to me. I picked colors that were not as seasonal (deep red and purples in June) and it's just fine. I'd love to see some of your ideas.

Black, white, and pink go well together, but do you mean literally a zebra stripe pattern with pink accents? It could probably be pulled off well, but my first thought was of pimps--no offense! Something about animal fur prints and bright colors.

There will be no fur or faux fur just fabric but I am hoping others don't think that when they walk in and see it. cross my fingers

I don't think it will be too much. It sounds like you are using the zebra print in moderation so it would be overwhelming and will actually look very beautiful and classy. I am doing the same colors for my wedding which is also in the winter. I am adding either silver or champagne/gold as well and having sparkling faux snow and crystals scattered throughout to add a bit of winter to the mix.

I love the idea of zebra print. It sounds so fun. Just keep it in moderation and it will be stunning!

I think it's a great idea, and would look fantastic with pink. We had zebra print fabric for the BM dress belts, and as several of the table runners and it turned out great. We also tied zebra print fabric on our invitations and the bouts were wrapped zebraesque print as were the BM flowers except their's were red and white. Here are a few pics, and I think I might still have most of the fabric if you're interested.

How Fun! It sounds like it will be a hit, and, as they said before, very stylish. Just be careful to not make it seem like a birthday bash for a young girl. Stay away from the animated type patterns. You'll have tons of fun bringing this idea to life!

Good Luck!
