After reading several posts on here about the 30 Day Shred, I decided to buy it and try it out. So far I like it except for one thing....I can't seem to get through a section of it without pulling my arches. I can do the jumping jacks, but then switching into the jump ropes kills my arches. I can replace the jump rope with the butt kicks and that works ok, but I keep thinking there must be something I can do to strengthen my arches. I even tried the second section last night, and did fine until all the plank moves where I was again over stretching my arches. I have tried different shoes, which has helped a tiny amount, but not much. I have never been one for sports, so if you have suggestions, please be very specific. If you say something like, 'you need to be doing calf stretches' I will need you to tell me what I do for that. (I've also had some trouble with the tops of my calves hurting, but different shoes seemed to help that more.) I am exercise challenged. :)
Thank you for your help! I know I probably sound like a fool, and I'm okay with that. I just need to find a way to help my poor aching feet. Nearly Mrs. Nierling
Good luck , you will do great just stay positive.
Stretch stretch and more stretching....
I streak before and after my workouts. a great calf stretch I use. You lean up a wall like a push up against the wall at a 90 degree angle and you keep you feet flat you will feel a great stretch in you calf..
I hope this helped.. I am also trying to lose 20 pounds for my big day So I understand..
I would consider getting new shoes if your arches are hurting. My arches used to kill me before I went to a running shoe specialist. The recommended some shoes based on my arch profile and the way I worked out and ran, (my feet pronate). Also stretching should help.
Anyone on here looking to do a one month fat burn should look into a program like p90x. I haven't heard about 30 day shred, but from my results from p90 its a quick way to burn some weight off in a very short amount of time. Created by Wedding Favors
