My wonderful sister is a size 20--and giving me a terrible time with her bridesmaid's dress! She lives in the Boston area. Where can I take her shopping?
Here's what makes this so hard: She's VERY upset about her size. Because she's so sensitive about people looking at her, she asked me not to make her a bridesmaid... but got so upset when I asked my other sister to be in the wedding, I said, if you really want to do this, I'd love to have you involved! So now she is... and she's driving me CRAZY about the dress. I DON'T CARE WHAT SHE WEARS, as long as it's a dress and as long she feels good in it. That's a tall order, because she hates the way she looks so much. I wouldn't dare ask her to try to lose weight; she's very good at it but goes to such extremes that she nearly kills herself in the process. She's in therapy and it's helping a lot, but she still has bad days when it comes to how she feels about handling big social occasions.
I'm buying her dress and shoes and looking to spend about $300. I'm visiting her in Boston in a few weeks so we can go dress shopping, and I want to scout locations and plan our shopping day ahead of time. The dress she wears doesn't have to be an official bridesmaid dress from a bridal retailer. I would happily buy her a beautiful designer dress from anywhere. But I don't know where to go! Where can I take her?
my sister is a size 24 and we went to davids bridal where they had so many dresses in her size but she feel in love with this one,, she tried on about 6 dresses and i went and picked this one out and both my sister who is a size 24 and my friend who is a size 2 looked great in them
19 days till i get married
"say i love you today cuz tomorrow you may not have the chance"
The chiffon is lightweight and the gathering covers a lot of problem areas. The one thing we noticed is that any shiny fabric, like satin, seems to show every lump and bump...just something to keep in mind:) We got the dress, shoes, a wrap, and little clutch for $250.
