Hi, I am getting married on May 15, 2010. I know a lot of people who think that we are waiting way to long but i think it is good that you have time so you can save up if needed!

I am a May 22, 2010 bride - planned far in advance to be able to save and also (hopefully) go on our dream honeymoon! Gradually getting plans done...and cannot wait for the big day!!

May 29, 2010. We actually wanted to get married earlier (in Sept.) but the venue I had my heart set on was booked. Well, we are getting married in Newport, RI and we have the ceremony and reception venue booked as well as the rehearsal dinner and the room block contract signed. I am pretty sure I will be doing different shades of blue for the color as we are close to the water and while we don't have a typical beach theme it will be somewhat nautical. Other than that, not much but hoping to go dress shopping in the next few weeks.

My wedding date is May 22, 2010 as well! I've been enjoying the planning so far because there isn't any stress, I just pick and choose what I like and I've been getting it done at my pace.

Our wedding date is May 22, 2010 in Michigan. Planning is going very well so far! Like everyone else has said - it's so far away that we can go at our own pace. I am very pleased to say that we already have the date confirmed and venue for the ceremony/reception booked, that is a HUGE help. Also, I've set up our wedding website to keep everyone informed. I am in the process of finding my dress. Bridesmaids dresses are next. I've picked up three very good books on wedding planning that have incredible timelines and checklists to help me keep on track. Anyone else getting married in May 2010 in Michigan? If so, where and details?

Wow there a couple of ladies that share my date. I'm a May 15, 2010 bride!! I'm so excited! We already have the venue for the ceremony and reception, the place that I booked included the caterer and the cake. I have a DJ. We picked our colors, blue, silver, and white. I bought my dress just last week and I take all the bridesmaids to get measured for their dresses in 2 weeks. And my fiance and I go to talk to a photographer on Friday! Wow, that sounds like a lot when I type it out! But there is still so much left to do!

 

 

 

 I feel like a kid. Pinch me. This kind of love certainly can't be real. Oh wait, it is :)

I just got engaged on July 4th and I'll be a May bride as well!

We've been talking about it for some time now (we've been together about 3 yrs) and wanted to pick a time that wasn't already crowded with celebrations. Our birthdays are in the Fall (October, and November), then there's Christmas and Valentine's Day, so May seemed like good time. Plus, the weather here in Canada is pretty unpredictable even in April (we've had snow storms as late as the end of April!) so a May wedding will hopefully have nice weather.

Now on to the planning =)

Hi!. I got engaged April 25 and I'm getting married May 2, 2010. I already have a venue and my dress but am having trouble finding bridesmaids dresses that I like and are affordable. I really really like Aria bridesmaids but they are a little over my BMs budgets. I am hoping to find a designer that can give my girls alot of options in the color/fabric I pick out. Any suggestions?

Hey starfish! I would go to your local bridal boutique. A lot of people don't like David's Bridal but you should just look there. They have decent sales on dresses. Also, try Maggie Sottero, a lot of brides on here love her stuff. Plus, J-Crew always has cute dresses. Another option is to find a color and fabric then tell everyone they can find their own dress as long as it's X and Y. Make sure you give them a color swatch if you want it to perfectly match though!
