The kind of music I like tends to be stuff from movies (and I've never been into Romantic Comedies). I was wondering, is it bad that I want to choose some Disney songs for my wedding?

This is YOUR wedding, so if you like Disney music, then you should feel free to play some Disney music at your wedding. As long as every song isn't from a disney movie, I don't think there's anything wrong with playing a few songs here and there. You may, however, want to consider playing cover versions as opposed to the original versions straight from the movies (Colbie Callait's version of Kiss The Girl instead of the version with Sebastian the Crab singing the song from the movie, for example). This way it doesn't sound cheesy.

Hi yaminoeyes!

I used a disney song in my ceremony Feb. 21 a couple weeks ago and everyone thought it was cute! It was "so this love" by Illene Wood from Cinderella. I played it while we my husband and I lit the unity candle. Everyone told me it was their favorite part because I almost broke down in tears during the song! Its a very touching song to me, I have always loved Cinderella and adored the songs in it! Do what you want because personal touches are what make your wedding unique and what make you guests remember you wedding for years to come! :)

The other thing you might try for is instrumental versions of the songs you love. That would add a touch of sophistication to the "kid's" music. hehe :)

No! Not at all! It would make your music selection different and unique to you. There are some Disney arrangements that I absolutely love! You should check out the CD called Heigh Ho Mozart and it's disney songs done in instrumental arrangements in a style of a particular composer. If I could have I would have chosen the instrumental version of Can you Feel the Love tonight that's on there for my wedding! I'm not sure if there is sheet music that you could get for that CD though if you were going to have musicians play at your wedding, but you could always get the CD and just play it through an ipod or speaker system of some sort, but it's defitnately worth checking out that CD!
