Having 2nd thoughts on the dress I chose
Posted: Feb 2, 2009 11:27 PM

Hi! Well I am torn between 2 dresses that are VERY similar (almost identical), but I think I may have chosen the wrong one.
Dress A: I had seen online a few months ago and it was exactly what I wanted. I tried it on and was happy it looked good on me. It was a little big but close to my size, so I would just need minor alterations. My mom said it showed armpit fat though
Dress B: I tried it on and loved it too, and the people I brought with me really liked it. It was big so it was clipped on. It was on sale but would need some big alterations
So anyways, I chose one of them, but now looking at the pictures and am now having 2nd thoughts.

Well, since you posted this question seeking opinions here is mine:
Dress A = is TOTALLY FABULOUSE! Looks outstanding on you.
Dress B = is beautiful and looks great too but very simple when next to dress A.

If you can work it out to where you can exchange it for dress A? Do it while you can. If not, then toss out the pic of the dress where you can't see it again. This way you won't have anything to compare it to. ya know wht I mean.

Don't get me wrong, dress B is very elegant and chic. And if it's within your budget then keep it. If dress A is going put you over your budget then keep dress B.

Good luck.

Dress A has far more personality than Dress B, IMHO. I would've gone with A. I also like the fabric overlay on it better.

Don't feel too bad. A friend of mine had this EXACT same thing happen to her. She returned it though without those people who convinced her to get it around, haha! (I think I'm glad I went shopping alone. But I'm quite opinionated.)

Dress A gives you a figure. Dress B gives you the opposite of a figure.

And excuse me? Arm fat? Where? Gets out microscope Oh okay I see it now.

Hi Hope718, so which one did you end up choosing? I personally like dress A better because it shows off your figures and no, your armpit is not fat. As a matter of fact, I think is more than perfect. The dress is very pretty either. May I ask which designer is it? Dress B doesn't show off your figure as much maybe is because the dress is few sizes too big? If the dress fits better then maybe it will looks better, so my vote is A. :)

I'm going to disagree with everybody
I actually like B better. I think the delicate details of the dress is very flattering
then again, I love simplicity and delicateness
I also like how you are holding yourself better in dress B.
I just think it looks more feminin and pretty
but that might just be me!

I like dress A better as well. I think the cut of the bodice is more flattering. I realize the second one was way too big and pinned but you can still tell that the bodice is cut differently. I don't like the way dress B goes over your abdomen area. Dress A is cut differently and because of that, it better accentuates your hourglass figure.

Which one did you choose?

I like Dress A far better. And what armpit fat is your mother talking about? I certainly don't see it.

I'm with Brighter. I like dress B better. I think with the proper alterations it would be sensational! But you definitly don't have armpit fat in either one!

I also like A better. It looks more like a wedding gown than a prom/event party type gown. I like the beading, and love the overlay.

Dress B is nice too...just not as classy looking as A....more of a destination wedding/beach wedding type dress.

and yeah...there is NO armpit fat! lol. and, if there is, just do some arm workouts to get into better shape if your worried about it. but, i dont see it.

I think you'll look beautiful no matter what you pick!

I think the detailing on the first dress definitely pulls your waist in and gives you you curves! I think the second dress tends to make your figure look a little more boy-ish. :) Definitely Dress A!
