Linen N' Things went Bankrupt

Hi ladies. I am also posting this on the Registry section of the website, but I know FF&G gets a lot of traffic, so I wanted to put it here too. Linens N' Things is filing for bankruptcy. Just in case anyone is registered there, I thought you might want to make sure this won't affect you.

First Fortunoff, now them. It sucks.

Wow. Thanks for the info. I was thinking about registering there and I'm glad I chose Bed, Bath and Beyond.

I had just read a report yesterday about them reorganizing finances to stave off filing but, I guess it didn't work.

From what I have heard, Fortunoff is being taken on by another company with a new business plan approach and keeping the stores open.  Hmmm...I'm still holding off on registering with them until there's more definitive news.

I believe it was Lord & Taylor that took over Fortunoff.

I heard that BB&B was also going bankrupt. But it was one of those stupid email forwards so who knows if it's true.

I read that it's a myth that BB&B is going bankrupt.  This whole LNT bankruptcy should be good news for BB&B though - getting their business.

I'd advise anyone that has LNT giftcards to go use them ASAP before they stop accepting them.  I think Sharper Image filed bankruptcy a while ago and their gift cards became worthless.

Aren't LNT and BB&B owned by the same company?

I always thought they were, I mean they look identical, have all the same things and do the same campaign ads at the same time.

To double check on rumors. Maybe checking it out on www.snopes.com may help. Just a thought. Good luck.

Does that mean there are going to be huge going out of business sales where everything is 90% off?  (Because that would be good news for me!)

From what I just read in that article, it doesn't look like they are closing all the stores, just the most underperforming ones.

The most common finish for a wedding ring is a
mirror finish where the ring is polished until the metal becomes highly
reflective. This is a simple finish which looks elegant and traditional
when combined with a classic gold band, or ultra modern and sleek in
one of the silver metals
