Hi, lucky. :)
On your question about whether our husbands give us stay-at-home wives spending money: I don't get spending money per se, but if there is something I want I'll usually either let my husband know I'm wanting to buy something that costs "X" amount, or if it's pretty cheap, or I know we have plenty of money in our account, I'll just buy it, and let hubby know after. I check with him or let him know because he handles our finances, and can account for my purchase.
Sheesh! I'm making myself sound like a housewife from the 50s, lol, but it's an arrangement that really does work for us and that we are happy with, so whatever, right? :)
And I think it's really cool that you're going to be taking some classes soon. :)

I am a full time student and a part time worker in fast food. FH is a cashier at a local gas station, he plans to go back to school, hopefully by next fall for computer programming.
When I graduate, in 2011, I hope I am hoping we will be stable enough for me to stay at home and continue my writing career. As of now it just isn't possible for me to stay home because his income alone isn't enough for what we need and want.

Hi there! Saw this forum and thought I'd add my two cents since I'm a "stay-at-home fiance" myself. I'm 23 years old and have worked various jobs since I was 16. My most recent venture was opening up a boutique in my home city which my sister now runs for me because I more or less lost interest. I decided to be a stay-at-homer because my yearly income was about what my fiance was making a month and it just didn't really make sense financially for me to continue working. At first I was very bored and questioned whether or not this was what I really wanted, but I learned a few things that have really made me enjoy my decision to stay at home. First, I make up a "To Do" list everyday so I stay on task (when I have all the time in the world I tend to procrastinate). I write down the errands that need to be run, what I'll cook for dinner, chores that I can get done around the house, appointments that I need to schedule, meetings with friends, and so on. I also spend one hour a day doing some sort of exercise whether it be yoga, treadmill, workout DVD, or just walking the dogs. I also spend 15 minutes a day meditating and another hour a day doing something creative like making jewelry or scrap booking. The key is keeping busy and cultivating your interests. Being able to have the freedom to spend your time however you choose is a gift that not many get the opportunity to do. If you're so lucky to be able to do this you should definitely take full advantage of it.
