Thanks for all the good wishes ladies!!  4 DAYS TO GO!!  I wasn't able to finish everything up at work today so I'm going to go in for a couple of hours in the morning and tie up all the loose ends and then I'll do as everyone keeps telling me: go home!  FH and I finished tweaking our ceremony and vows tonight and I just sent them off to the officiant.

Babymandaa:  I think I'm the only on the November thread who's wedding day is this weekend.  I was really surprised at how few November brides are on here, but there are a ton of September/October brides though (check out the wedding/anniversary date thread on the Family, Friends & Guests board http://www.brides.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=61519).

Hey girls (especially brideincanada who i can relate to) - our wedding is this weekend also!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhh!!!!!!!!!  It feels so weird that it is finally here. lol  The only thing I have left to do is finalize the seating chart and make escort cards.  That has really been my only DIY project and I am glad because the way it's turned out, work is just so busy that I haven't had a lot of extra time to do stuff.

My parents get into town tomorrow evening, then Thursday evening the major influx of out of town guests begins!!  We have a full "wedding weekend" planned with rehearsal stuff on Friday, bachelorette party Friday night, "ladies tea" Saturday morning (which is a shower without gifts, since my mom thought it very tacky to ask for gifts the day before the wedding from my friends who are already spending a lot to fly here, buy bridesmaid dress, etc! lol), open house at OUR house, and then the wedding day itself. I hope I don't collapse, I think I am giong to be so tired... hopefully the adrenaline will carry me through :)

Amy - that is soooooooooo weird about your shower and the gift situation. lol  Yes you are right, the point is definitely to "shower" the bride or couple with gifts.  My oh my.  Nov22- Looks from your photos that your shower was really fun!  You have all ages of women in your life!

Well I am hoping today will be my last day at work.  I still have tons of house cleaning to do and also some shopping like for parents gifts and also something to wear to the rehearsal dinner.

You all have a great week!  You're going to all be beautiful brides and I am looking forward to seeing the pics.  We will be in CA from this Monday to Nov. 20 so good luck to everyone getting married in the middle of the month.

BinCanada and Jennyinc - congratulations!!! So happy for you all! =) Gotta share those pictures!!

Bincanada, I know! I saw the thread and seems like everybody is getting married in Sept/Oct. Somehow vendors are more expensive during that peak period too. I cannot imagine getting married in Oct, especially in CA it is wayyyy tooo hotttttt!

We're going to be paying all of our vendors this weekend.. thats all our money going away...... Oh, do any of you all know where I can buy a polaroid camera besides ebay? I read somewhere that they stop producing those and hmm.. I really want to get that for our instant guestbook. Any ideas?

Mandaa your right they no longer make Polaroid. I think your best bet is eBay but just make sure that the film is not expired.

i did a google and found this

Babymandaa.. I bought one a few years back for FH.  I found it at like WalMart or KMart.  Maybe if you're close to one, just check in.. never know.  It was just the basic one, but that seems to be all you need.

Our venue's pricing was definitely a little lower in Nov than in Oct.  We originally thought Oct, but once we saw even the slightest difference, we went with Nov.  Even the littlest difference adds up! Fall has always been my favorite time of year and I seriously couldn't imagine us wearing a heavy gown and tux in July or August!

Nov22 - Thanks so much. I'll take it look at it.

Cindy - I've already tried walmart and etc, only sell the film =( I'll ask around to see if I can borrow one from a friend or someone who "hopefully" have it.

It is amazing how everything adds up. The most expensive would still be photographer/ videographer, food, venue and alcohol! Heck, even my dress cost more than I expected with the bustle, alteration and last was the steaming and pressing. I think we have went a little over our budget .. hmm actually over ALOT! :P And I still have yet to get my flower girl baskets, guest books and etc.

Stillllll tooo excited that we're getting married Finally - Still sad that the whole wedding planning is coming to an end. I should really consider being a wedding planner LOL

Can't believe so many people I know is got/ or getting married in 2008. Prime time = but recession isn't helping.

BrideinCan and Jenny... best of luck to you both tomorrow!  You'll both be gorgeous brides!!

I hope everyone else has a great and productive weekend!  My dress is finally home hanging right behind me :)  I can't believe our day is in one week!  Just need to finish up the placecards this weekend.  Tomorrow I have a highlighting appointment.  Wednesday we are taking everything to the reception venue and have rehearsal Wednesday night, which will be pretty low key.

I can't believe the wedding is less than 1 week away! I have held a pretty level head up until now but with a few days left to go I am super stressed and needed somewhere to vent (sorry ladies!)

I went to pick up my wedding dress last night (4th appt) and it STILL wasn't right. At first they told me I could pick it up Friday and I about had a heard attack. My appointment is now tomorrow so i'm keeping my fingers crossed everything will be fine. If it's still not right I told FH that he better have bond $ ready for me and FSIL

My next stress point is my florist. I've been trying to reach my florist since Oct. 29th and hadn't received any return phone calls or emails. She's been really responsive in the past so it seemed odd. I finally drive to the shop today at lunch with FH. No one was there. I talked to a neighbouring store who hadn't seen her in a few days and I am now at a breaking point. He gave me the # for the Property Mgmt office so I could follow up with them to see if anything was up. They called her and left a message on my behalf as well then called me back and gave me her home number. They were super sympathetic and a pleasure to deal with. I FINALLY reached her at home although she sounded irritated with us for calling her there. I figure it's too bad for her. I was able to confirm 1 small change that I needed and the delivery time of the flowers. Now I have to keep my fingers and toes crossed that everything goes ok on Saturday.

We have to finish our place cards tonight then everything will be done. I am dropping everything off tomorrow at the reception site then (hopefully) going to get my dress. The next few days will be extremely busy.

Congrats to all of the November2008 brides!!!

Well... I wanted to see my ticker say 1 day til the wedding!!  I can't believe that tomorrow is finally the day!  Rehearsal and dinner last night went very well.  I actually started tearing up just going through the practice vows and then once the organist came in to go through it again with the music, made it more emotional!  Since my dad died 21 years ago, it's still rough that he's not physically there.  My mom is walking me up the aisle, so I know I'll think of him and tear up.  But even in rehearsal and will be more so tomorrow, it was so surreal and intense because we're staring into eachother's eyes as we repeat our vows.  I can't believe though that of course, Aunt Flo arrived this morning!!  I'll just have to deal with it!  Everything's done now.  Just have to get my purse and bridal tote ready.  MOH is spending the night with me.  FH is checking into our bridal suite tonight.  Hair and makeup girl is coming at 10am tomorrow, flowers at 130, photographer at 2:00, limo at 3:15 and ceremony begins at 4:30!  Oh boy!!  I'm only really nervous about being in the spotlight, which is hate.  But I realized being up at the alter last night, I can't really see the guests, which for me is a good thing.  I just need to stay focused on the priest and FH.  Hopefully in the next few days, I'll get some pics from friends, etc as our professional photos won't be ready for a few weeks!  Best of luck to any other brides getting married this weekend!!

We're married!!! First, I will say that the day flew by. When I woke up in the morning I still didn't feel like it was my wedding day! Everything went perfect. Everyone was on time. My hair and makeup woman, the photographer, the limo. We arrived at the church earlier than I thought and I just couldn't wait to find out the DH arrived!! It was funny because the weather here in NJ wasn't the greatest that day. It was overcast and light drizzle. But when we pulled up to the church in the limo, I didn't see DH's mom's car (she was driving them over to the church), I was freaking out that I HAD to be inside quickly before they pull up! LOL But I made it in and hit the ladies room quickly and went into my "holding area" as the priest put it. I will admit that the closer it got to me walking down the aisle with my mom, the more overcome with emotions I got. Everyone kept telling me that I was like the calmest, more organized bride they've seen and I didn't want to just crash! Once our music (Trumpet Voluntary) started and the limo guy was adjusting my train and the doors opened, I swear my heart was pounding so hard, I really thought I wasn't going to make the walk. I was shaking so badly my flowers were shaking. I had no nerves about getting married.. I just knew that all eyes were on me and all of the emotions just hit at once. I thought of my late father. Lucky for me the aisle was not a long walk LOL At one point during the pastor's homily, I really felt like I was going to pass out for the first time in my life and I soooooo didn't want that to happen!! But my dress was so heavy and so much stuff going on under it and the lights blaring down on us. The priest came over to us because I apparently looked very white and I just asked to please put the AC on. DH, MOH and BM were all warm too. I felt much better and had no problem witht our vows and rings. Once our postlude music hit and we turned to face our guests as husband and wife, all of my color came back to me and I was totally relaxed again!! Our videographer told us that we were offically married at 4:50 pm.

To wrap this up, the reception was awesome. I think that the best part for me was waiting to go in and being introduced for the first time. I was so psyched for that moment and it was great! We received so many compliments on the food and the place and it felt good that all of my 15 months of planning and research and stress paid off! Everyone said that I looked beautiful and as I said earlier, everything was perfect!! I would not have changed one thing nor do I regret one thing. So once I have some pics, I will certainly post them.

Best of luck Nov22bride!!!!!!

I'm a Mrs!! Congrats to everyone else too! Sorry it's taken me so long to get back on here, but since returning from our honeymoon on the 19th I've been really sick with a vicious headcold/congestion and cough while EH got food poisoning on our flight home (in sickness and in health indeed!).

I promise I'll be back once I'm feeling 100% to tell all about the wedding, which EH and I are jokingly referring to as "Our 90% Wedding" because just about everything went almost according to contract/plan but was just a bit off/wrong. I'm being serious when I say that there wasn't one single thing that I can think of that went absolutely perfectly except for the most important one of all - we are married!

I hope everyone else had a great day!
