I now pronounce you Husband and Wife - Love2u Tied the Knot!

After 15 months of planning, the deed is done.  DH and I tied the knot on October 11 and it was all I ever dreamed it would be!

My hair and makeup came out better than I could have ever hoped for.   I really felt beautiful.  We (MOH & I) got to the church at 1:00 pm (ceremony was 3:00).  The church coordinator was already there and had everything open for us.

Everyone else showed up at about 1:30 for the pre-ceremony bridal party photos, except for the photographer.  At 2:00, one of my BM's called him and he was lost.  He arrived at the church at 2:15 and realized that he didn't have his memory cards.  Fortunately, there was a camera store nearby and he was back at 2:40, in time to take photos of me pretending to get ready (I went ahead and got dressed at 2:30) and the guys hanging out (see the "poker" folder at the attached link).  Interestingly enough, everyone else was freaking out, but I was really calm.  After spending so much time in preparation (and having read about so many other bridal calamaties), I knew that it wasn't anything to stress over.  He did make up the time and attended the reception to take photos, even though that wasn't covered in our contract (we were doing church-only to save money).

The wedding ceremony was all I ever hoped it would be.  My Dad, ever the calm and analytical person, was so touched that he actually had trouble presenting me and got choked up.  During the ceremony, Hunter (my son/ringbearer) and Katie (niece/flowergirl) sat in a front pew coloring.  During communion, Katie was spreading the flower petals that didn't get thrown in the precession up and down the front of the church.  After the communion, we had asked the priest to do a family blessing, as a surprise to us, DH's parents called up the families and presented both the boys with crosses and told them they were now part of a greater family and they would ALWAYS have family to love and care for them.

We got over to the reception hall late (due to later bridal party photography stuff).  We did a quick practice of our dance and then did our grand entry.  Our dance, although not well practiced, went perfectly.  Everyone was impressed at how good we looked dancing.  The rest of the evening was a blur.  We actually ran out of time and didn't do the bouquet / garter toss (not a loss in my opinion), instead I gave the bouquet to one of my girlfriends who had flown in from CA and Pat gave the garter to his only unwed brother.

We left for Zion on Sunday and it was incredible.  Pat took 847 photos in the 5 days we were there.  He's still going through and logging/doctoring them.

Attached is a link to our photos.  There are over 600, but I recommend looking at the poker folder (the guys blew time by playing poke and some of them were drinking beer - in the priest's office!, with his permission!!!).  I also have a folder of 99 of my favorite photos "Teri's Favorites." I think you'll recognize the pictures of me - I'm wearing the white dress ;-)  Pat is the tall one.  The "Family" folder includes the group folder of our families combines who attended the wedding.  When those photos were taken, I've been told that half of the reception hall emptied.

My recommendations....

1.  There is no point in putting the dress on more than 30 minutes before the ceremony - once it is on, you really can't do much but sit there.

2.  Wear flip flops or comfortable shoes as long as possible!

3.  The emergency bride kit does come in handy.  I put it together half heartedly, but we needed it for three different situation (bandaids, sewing kit, safety pins).

4.  Make sure there is plenty of bottled water.  Once I was dressed, I was trapped in the bride's room and got thirsty, especially looking at the water fountain immediately across from me.

5.  Relax and have fun.  Once you are there, ready to get married, things are pretty much out of your hands.  All you can do at that point is to relish the joy of the moment.

It was truly a fun, glorious day.  The link to the photos is below.

I didn't need a password. Very pretty, congratulations! Your dress is very pretty, I like how it is bunched by the waist. Your hair is very pretty with the curls in the back. I am a fan of some hair or all hair down rather then the traditional updo.

Just Married and loving it!

I think I need to actually register with pictage.  Wahhhhhh.  I really want to see the pics.  It says the host of this events request that you sign the guestbook in order to view the photos, so I guess I have to register first.

Love2u, everything looks beautiful. Your photographer did an amazing job (despite the troubled start). You are so beautiful. Your boys are adorable, and your new family looked so happy. Congratulations to you and your HUSBAND!!

Yesterday is History. Tomorrow is a Mystery. Today is a gift, that's why it's called the Present.

Thank you!  We really felt blessed.  I think the photographer did a great job catching those special moments that just can't be planned.

We hope that all the upcoming brides have as much joy and happiness in their celebrations too!
