SHORT unity candle song??

SHORT unity candle song??

I've been searching and searching for a song to play when we light the unity candle and I've had no luck.  We want something very short.  I always think it's awkward when the bride and groom stand there lighting the candle for 5 minutes while the song plays.  Also, we have no one that can sing a song so that's not an option.  Any ideas?

I really LOVE "Grow Old With Me" by John Lennon.  I really wanted this to be my unity candle ceremony song, but my priest would only let us use "religious" music during the ceremony itself.  So, we actually decided not to do a Unity candle because if I couldn't have this song...there was no point.  It's only a few minutes long in whole, but it can easily be truncated in many places if you'd like.  I hope this helps!  Good luck!

We are using a song we can easily fade in and out on with out it sounding bad. We found a karaoke version of Elton John's Your song. So its just the music sounds good is different and can easily just fade out. I totally get what you mean by standing there looking like tards until the song is over!!

we're not using any religious music, and our planned location is outdoors. so while fh really cannot stand country music, alot of our songs consist of it lol...

we're doing a sand ceremony, rather than unity candle...since fh has 2 kids, and our moms, and us, we're doing a "family" ceremony...so the song i'm playing softly in the background, is "My Last Name" by Dierks Bentley. he and all the kids already have the last name, so since i'm the last one to "take" it, i thought it was pretty appropriate ;)
