How forgetful were your guests??

So I am getting ready to send out our invitations, and I am wondering how many of you have had trouble with guests not writing their name on the RSVP card before they returned it?

I am considering writing small numbers on the back of each RSVP, and tagging each name in my excel address list with which number RSVP they were given, but I don't want to do all that work if that was not an issue for a lot of other girls. So what do you all think? Have you had a problem with guests filling out everything but their name on the RSVP?

I don't think it could hurt... spending a little time now is better than having to spend it (not on your schedule!) later. hehe

Thanks Sarah! I suppose that is true. I just feel like it is almost assuming that my guests can't figure out the M_____ is where they should put their name! I know my guests are smart...I can just see people "forgeting". Haha

Guests forget to do this all time and brides number them all the time.  Do it and save yourself a headache.

Katie - I've already had 5 guests return RSVPs w/o their information.  I WISH I had discretely numbered them.  So far I've been able to identify them from the postal code stamp, but if anyone from the Phoenix area does it I'm SOL.

I've also had several guest return the reception information card, in addition to the RSVP card itself.  I presume they are planning on caravanning from the Ceremony to the Reception, since they reception address and map was on the reception information card.

 

PFFT - I didn't notice the original date on the post.... grrrrrrr

This is my second wedding, and I decided not to number the RSVPs. I hope I don't regret that later. It's too late now cuz I already sealed all the envelopes and I will be taking them to the post office today.

 I don't remember getting any back without names from my first wedding, but I did have a lot of trouble getting them back at all from the groom's side of the family.

I wish I had done that- I had 5 out of 100 that didn't put a name on it. So do the numbers, it wouldn't hurt.

Everyone returned the RSVPs with their names on them. We had 140 and no problems.
