The colors we are going with are candy apple red, chocolate brown and cream. I may change that though but I've been liking those colors for a while now so I don't think I will.

We're getting married on October 3, 2009, and I can't wait!

While we've got more than a year, we've got a ton checked off our list: reception site; church/officiant; wedding dress; centerpieces; all bouquets, corsages, and boutonniers; cake vendor; caterer; colors/theme picked; ceremony musicians; disposable cameras (for reception tables); bubbles; bridal shower favors and centerpieces; garter; save-the-dates (sent out); shoes; personalized candy (for reception tables); guest book and pen; not finalized guest list; programs; cake topper; DJ; leaves, rose petals, etc. (for reception tables); bells (for reception tables); head table centerpiece; candles (for reception tables);
hair appointment booked; bridesmaids' dresses.

All we really have left to do is book our photographer, which is becoming a tedious process as I'm discovering, decide on/order invitations, select groomsmen's tuxedos and junior bridesmaids dresses, and select/order our wedding bands.

We got engaged on the 4th of July.

Thankfully, my mom has been a huge help with everything. Honestly, that's the only reason I have so much done already, LOL! Without her, I'd be lost.

It's a good thing you have your Mom to keep you sane! :)

We've checked off another item on our to-do list. Our rings have been ordered, we already picked his up. Mine is being custom made so I have a couple of weeks to wait.

Hello all. My wedding date is Oct 30th.

So far i have booked the church, reception site, photographer, and dj. i thought i was doing good until i read your post. I have been looking at photos and things and i pretty much know what i want though. Our colors are black, white (damask pattern) with the accent colors of red and orange( Pretty much only the flowers accent). I wanted to do more halloween things but the other half was not having that.

We were engaged since x-mas 2007 and soon after that i booked the reception site. I knew exactly where i wanted to have it. It is a "haunted" historic mansion. Well i look foward to keeping in contact with you all and catching up to you planning wise!

Well I went dress shopping over a week ago and it went a lot better than I thought it would. I found 3 dresses that I really liked but after looking over the pictures we took I think I've decided on the one. We are going back in a couple of weeks to try all three on again and make a final decision.

So exciting! Share a picture if you can. :)

I haven't even begun to decide what I want to wear for my wedding celebration next year but for our small casual beach wedding this year this is my dress:

Ok... SO I kind of dropped off the face of the earth on wedding planning for a little while... But I started doing more and this is where I am at....

I have our ceremony/reception site, our catering, our photographers, our officiant, my dress, our centerpieces, my bouquet, the bm's bouquets, all of the bouttonieres and corsages the flowers girls baskets, the dj, the hairstyle I want, my make up artist is booked, our florist deposit is paid as well as the venue for the wedding and reception, all of the wedding party is picked and informed, our invitation ideas, our favors are decided on... and I think thats it for now.... I was relieved to get it done!

Can't wait to be  a Mrs.

That's great that you have so much done already. Right now i am searching florists and invitations. I am so dreading dress shopping. I stopped smoking new years day and have gained weight. I am trying to lose some before i go shopping i don't want to be disappointed. I also have picked out my girls dresses. "I also booked make-up and hair appointments. Have you guys had your engagement parties yet? Are you having one? I was also wondering if anyone knew of a good designer to look at as far as a victorian wedding gowns. We are doing a masquerade ball theme so i think that kind of gown will be perfect.

Hi ladies!

I'm newly an October 24, 2009 bride. We've been engaged since June but we've had some issues officially booking a date, but yesterday we finally booked the ceremony and reception venues! I'm so excited!!
