The lady was going to dye th hankies and embrioder them with everyones first names. She's a b***h for not being up front with me.

I went to the doc. he said it is a stitch spitting, doesn't look like it to me but hes the doctor.  He should know better than I. Doctors instructions are to keep it clean and he said I can take the antibiotics if I want. Which I will do since I really can't afford to get an infection on my tummy at this point.

Dawna--I'm glad that it was something as simple as an infection.  I'm still not feeling well & can't wait for my appointment on Monday.  That would have been a great take home gift for the guest.  Did you buy the hankies?

Dawna and Cedoria-  sorry to hear that you both aren't feeling well still.  Hang in there.

So, I've been busy trying to finalize a theme this week.  Today, I thought I finally had it down, so I sent DH a link to my gallery and asked him what he thought. He emails me back and says that he can't figure out what the theme is.  Is this just one of those crazy women things that men just don't understand because I think the theme is really obvious.  I guess I'm just going to keep going with it since he didn't object.

Well if I had to guess I would say you have a nature theme. Birds, birch branches and blue. Hey, maybe I'm going in the wrong direction...maybe the theme is the letter "B" Birds, Birch Branches & Blue. Just don't call me something that starts with a "B" lol. Sorry , I was in Vegas for a week and came back a wee bit nutty.

Hey everybody,

I am starting my job search and up to my armpits in websites. I checked out a few employment agencies but they hardly have any jobs posted at all. We were on hurricane watch for a bit, but the storm is headed into the gulf, again. Tomorrow EH is going for snoring surgery which is exciting, except he will be home for 5 days in a row so I have to find reasons to get out of the house more! That doesn't sound nice. I just mean because he will be recovering so it will be 5 days of non stop sports and sports news. I rarely turn the tv on before 3:00 pm so I am sure it will drive me nuts.

Katmu I looked at your gallery and everything looks fantastic and go together very well. Its definitely a guy thing. Most things I checked with my EH but when it came to flowers, candles and linens I didn't even mention what i had picked out. Food, music, and transportation seem to peek their interests the most.

Dawna sorry about the hankies. Could you give everyone nuts? I hope your tummy is feeling better too. I want to crash your bachelorette party.

Cedoria are you feeling better? I agree with Dawna on the STD's. I would send earlier rather than later. We did an STD email because we had so much info to share and we sent ours a year out because the vendors and resort booked that far in advance.

MAM I see you coming in as I type this up. How are you doing?

I finally have a picture of my pink dress I kept talking about. Its from a camera phone so kind of blurry

Tanis- i love that dress.

Mad-  You got it exactly.  Debating about maybe switching the blue to green but I'm not sure yet.

So, as though I do not have enough on my plate I just got a few more things piled on.
The one thing I have asked someone else to do, such a simple thing, make a phone call. Is that so very hard? One wouldn't think, but alas, it seems to be. I asked my MIL to make the hair appointments. Simple request. Call a salon and get 7 women though the doors between 12 and 2. Not so hard, I mean how many salons only have one hairdresser? None I have ever been to. So she calls me today and informs me that she made an appointment for us to get our hair done that day. The appointment is at 8am! So I can get my hair done and then go set up the park? I think not! So tomorrow I am going to spend a few hours on the phone, get cost comparisons and see who can get us all in and out within a reasonable time.
Then I head over to my MILs house to get my PHs suit. He left it there while we were still loving in VA. Is it there? NO, so now I have to make sure he gets another suit. One of his wonderful stingy jerk brothers probably claimed it for themselves, just like they did so many of his things while he was in the military.

I priced beer nuts-way more than I was willing to spend for so many, especially since the lady who chose to not do the hankies still owes me my 50 dollars. So i got hand dipped pretzels, one smeisweet chocolate and one dark chocolate per bag per glass. Hope they end up looking okay. I also picked up the big suckers for the kids. I went to Micheals and picked up a pretty photo storage box for 7.99 and PH cut a slit on the top to make it into our card box. It is a pretty box, it has a printed fall scene on it of a lanscape with a bunch of pine trees. It will fit right in. And after I can still use it. I also picked up the boxes for the cameos and bags for the witch balls.

Tanis-I am on the job hunt as well. So frustrating. I feel ya!

Okay, got the hair appointments fixed. called around and found a place that can get us all in and out between 11 and 2. Not bad. So that is done.

Next alterations appointment-tuesday at 5pm. One more thing checked off.

Now I am calling aorund about beer and wine. Trying to find the best deal possible. Now a question~why on Earth can't liquor stores speak English???  GRRRRRR

Dawn - remember to breath!  :)

I may not be around much as I live in the predicted path for hurricane Ike.  Expecting a call to arrive tomorrow for me to head into work.  Boarded up my house today.  My kids are taken care of.  FH came and picked me up as I do not have a car - mine blew the water pump last weekend*.  He didn't want me to have to ride the bike in a hurricane.  then admitted on the way to his house tonight that he would be worried sick if I was sitting up at home alone

Huggggggggggggggggs to all!

Puddles

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, cheesecake in one hand, rum in the other, body totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!

Happy Friday Ladies-

KPM - Stay safe.

I'm so stressed.  DH found out yesterday that all but a small number (5) of employees in his area are going to be downsized soon.  Depending what happens, our plans could be scaled back.

Which should probably mean that I stop looking at dresses, eh?  Well, so of course today I saw the Watters dress that was the 1st dress I loved and still my favorite on Ebay.  Not sure if I should go for it or not.  I'm only 5'3" and I'm not wearing heels so the length would be ok.  Talk some sense into me.

Katmu-set a max price you can afford, worst case senerio, and make a bid. If you lose oh well, but it you win, you will have the dress you love even if you do have to wait an additional year or something. That ishow I got my dress. My max amount was 175 and I got it for 172!

Ariel, welcome. Where are you in your planning?

Okay  ladies, I am about to go crazy. I am StiLL waiting on two RSVPs! WTF?!?!?

Hello Ariel- I too am planning for 2010-June and understand about planning early. I was just talking with the hubby today about things and we couldn't believe that the first time around we were calm and relaxed and just did what we wanted and now this time we have three children to think about so we are def. checking into everything.... Question for everyone- We know that we are not having the big to do like last time with the big wedding party but would like those whom we still talk to that where in our wedding to have some part in it somewhere.....any suggestions??? Also my sisters are a huge part of our lives..almost like our children to be honest, they were in our wedding of course and was wandering to you guys think it would be weird to have each of them stand up for us along with our children...one being next to me and the other next to mt husband?? Just a thought

Tons of gowns...wow I am looking all over for them online and am falling in love with alot....when is about the right time to go try some on or is ti ok now to weed out the ones that dont look so good on me that I thought would???

Sorry for all the question but I have alot and trust you all for great advice!! Have a great day!
