I am getting silk flowers from fleurspermail.com They are so pretty! They look and smell real and they are cheap. My entire set - cake topper, my bouquet, 4 bm bouquets, 2 corsages, 8 bout's, and a gorgeous hair piece for $300. And they will last forever, will not wilt in the heat and will not brown. Look at the bouquet I chose. He will also customize anything you want, just tell him. He is adding pink jewels to everything for NO EXTRA $. Praywa is his name. VERY creative guy. Copy and paste this link to check out my bouquet.... I LOVE IT!!!!  http://www.fleurspermail.com/page_product_detail.php?pID=73&id=3&coID=1     It is a comboe of roses, dahlias, callas, orchids, peonies. I love it.

Ms.Meghann - I think you're probably bing charged too much, but that's just my opinion.  I'm just in southwest virginia about 4-5 hours from you, so I'm pretty sure it's not entirely regional.  Get a few other quotes, and then if you REALLY liked him, take those quotes back (if they're lower) and see if he'll work with you on pricing.

Everybody's flowers sound so pretty though!

We've gotten off easy on  flowers cuz our priest doesn't want flowers in the church, neither parents on either side care to have flowers, we only have the two attendants (no FG or RB, etc), and our reception is outdoors.

Well, I'm gonna feel bad for saying this but our flowers are only a little over $100.  :-)    It turns out that we only need: My bouquet, MOH bouquet, boutineers for FH and BM, as well as a large key centerpiece for the reception.  They are being prepared by a well-known florist in McCall who works, at all places, the local supermarket!  This is a HUGE help to our budget!  :-)

My mom and I did my flowers for under $300. That included my bouquet, FG bouquet, toss bouquet four BM bouquets, two alter arrangements, DH and four GMs bouts and a bunch of corsages/bouts for assorted people. They were all silks and look lovely. We got them all on sale at two different stores. The best part about silks is that I don't need to mess with drying flowers and my bouquet and one of the alter arrangements now decorate my home!

I had:

Bridal bouquet: Black magic roses and stephanotis
Toss bouquet: White roses
Two bridesmaid bouquets: Black magic roses
One groom boutonniere: Black magic rose and stephanotis
Five groomsmen boutonnieres: Black magic roses
A spare boutonniere: Black magic rose
Dad's boutonniere: White rose and stephanotis
Two mothers' corsages: White roses and stephanotis
Three centerpieces: Black magic roses
Eight flowers for the cake: Black magic roses

All of this, after tax, came to $850. Bear in mind black magic roses and stephanotis (with pearl centers) are pretty pricey.

We spent almost $2,000. The wedding was in Sacramento, California. This included my bouquet; 3 BM bouquets; 3 groomsmen corsages; 15 tall centerpieces; arrangements on cake table, guestbook table, head table, and chocolate fountain table; and corsages for 3 parents, officiant, and 3 helpers. She also had petals and candles on every table included in this price. Oh, and she made huge arrangements on these beautiful iron candleabras (that we returned) to decorate the alter area. It was well worth it. Prices are also affected by your flower choices. If you want to cut costs, put your favorite flowers in your bouquet and ask your florist for a cheaper alternative for everything else. I had roses and orchids in my bouquet. I had both those and a whole bunch of other flowers everywhere else.

For about $1000 I got the following:

Bridal bouquet - white roses, white stock, hosta leaves

Toss bouquet - a few hot pink roses and stock tied together with a hosta leaf

3 Bridesmaid Bouquets - hot pink roses, stock, hydrangea, hosta

Rosebuds on a comb (replaced my veil for reception)

6 Corsages (3 wrist, 3 pin-on)

10 Bouts (9 hot pink roses, 1 white rose and hypericum berries)

Rose Petals for the aisle and unity candle table

Large arrangement for the escort card table

11 centerpieces - each w/ a tall rented vase and three roses submerged in water

Flowers/petals for the cake

Plus, all setup  (so worth it to not have to set up anything!)

I actually live in Falls Church currently with my FH, but we are getting married in my hometown up in PA. I am def going to take his bid, and use it as a list for other florists. I will obvs delete out the pricing, but that way i can do an apples-to-apples comparison. he's also the in-house florist for the location. if i go elsewhere and theyre alot cheaper, i can just use that as bargaining power :)

 thanks!
