Who to buy from and who to stay away from
Posted: Jul 9, 2008 11:25 PM

I'm looking for my favors and I've seen the one I want on a few sites but I'm a little nervous about which one to choose. Can anyone tell me who they've ordered from that was great and who to stay away from. Thanks.

It might help if you post what sites.  Without that, I've ordered from Oriental Trading Company and been happy.

And I'm sure that vendor JulietteGarters will probably post here as they've been active tonight. rolls eyes

I have also had good experiences with Orientaltrading.com.  I have had unsatisfactory recent experience with favorpro on ebay.  What sort of favors are you looking for?
Have a blessed day!Cool

I want bookmarks and I found these bookmarks with burgundy tassels that would be perfect. I have ordered lots of stuff from orientaltrading(I'm waiting on a order now) but I haven't seen any favors that I loved on their.

If you're talking about the turning leaves bookmark, beau-coup.com has the exact same ones and they're cheaper.

Stay away from efavormart.com. I ordered personalized favor bags and the quality and craftsmanship is awful. They refused to refund me so I'm stuck with 100 bags I'll never use.

I ordered my invites from alamodebride.com I found her at www.alamodebride.etsy.com  I saw some great favor tags on her site. She did such a great job on my invites that I plan on purchasing the tags, place cards and table number cards when it gets closer to my wedding date.

I did book marks for my 1st wedding.  (Ex and I met in a book store.)  We actually ordered them from the same vendor we ordered the invitations from, so that they'd match font, and color wise, with everything else.   However, having said that, I am sure you've already ordered your invites.

have you tried:  www.invitationsbydawn.com?

I also have been very happy with our purchases from the Oriental Trading Company.

I ordered my personalized BM gifts from www.mybridesmaidsgifts.com and was very happy with the quality of the gifts and the reasonable prices.

For my wedding, I got everything from Americanbridal.com.

I have to say, I'm a satisfied customer. I love everything, they've got unique and creative favors, it was hard to choose! The website was a godsend, it helped me a lot. My wedding went smoothly, and there were no hassles. I got my favors, reception accessories, ceremony accessories from them, even gifts! I would recommend the site to anyone who plans to get married. Go check their site out.

WARNING - order with caution from eFavormart.com

Basically, this company 'efavormart.com' which is really 'Ya Ya Creations' has no interest in customer service and uses the fact that weddings and other such events are very emotional and uses that to their advantage when trying to explain away their inability to deliver products in a timely fashion. We ordered a number of items for a wedding and even though none of the items were personalized items, the excuse used for their inability to deliver the products was that the "Pew Clips" were customized items which according to them added an additional 7 to 10 days to the delivery. After days of vague or no response to emails, we tried using the online 'live person' chat to get the issue resolved and it was pretty much like being put on-hold without any soothing music. They refused to ship any of the other items that were "not customized" and insisted that because they had already printed the UPS shipping label (the day the order was placed) they could not. We strongly encouraged them to ship those items overnight to us as the wedding was now very close. After about 45 minutes of this very painful 'live chat' experience they finally agreed to ship the items if we would agree to 'no refund' for the already paid shipping charges and to pay an additional $143.17 in additional shipping charges for $155 worth of products. Basically they were told what they could do.

They refused to cancel the order, even though the products had not been shipped.

The reason that this company prints the shipping label the day the order is placed is so they can charge your credit card immediately rather than wait until they actually ship the product.

Our only recourse at this point is to dispute the charges with our credit card company which has been done, and to refuse the shipment, when and if UPS ever actually delivers the products which will be post wedding.

Please order from this company with caution.

Not sure why type of favors you are looking for, but I wanted water bottles and chocolate bars.  I wanted to stay away from the usual trinkets so I bought my stuff from iCandy Wrappers.  Their site is http://icandywrap.com

I recently receive them and I must admit that they are great.  I worked with Sarah on my design and she was wonderful.  Make sure to ask for her.

I had a good experience with both beau-coup.com and accenttheparty.com. I bought favors and prizes for a bridal shower from them and they arrived promptly/as pictured/in good condition.
